The D-50 ‘Goblin’ IFV is the Unions latest and only IFV to date. The vehicle was also based on the Development series to standarize parts and such. Unlike most Union vehicles it is not very high, nor does its accomodations are of a very high standard. It uses the classic Union setup, with drivers in the front, the turret in the middle and the engine exhaust on the back. It’s not fully classic tough, since it has the engine in the front part of the vehicle, instead of at the rear.
About this creation
With a large land force the Union mostly specialized in tanks, however the demand for an Infantry Fighting Vehicle grow bigger over time. The Chairman wanted to have a meduim/heavy IFV which would be able to transport at least 6 troops to the battlefield. The vehicle would be based on a cancelled pre-production run of new D-50 tanks, which would not enter service for the time to come.
The Goblin uses several weapons to defend or attack. As the main weapon it uses a 35MM rapid firing gun which can penetrate light vehicles. As secondary it uses 2 anti-tank rocket tubes on the side of the turret to damage larger targets. The Goblin operates very good in urban regions, as long as it’s flanked by infantry.
The Goblin uses a standarized engine that can propel the vehicle to, under some conditions up to 65KM/h (in open terrain faster). Thanks to the older type suspension the engine doesn’t need to be very strong to achieve high speeds.
As protection the tank mostly uses it’s armour. Even though no match for MBT’s it still can stand it’s ground against other IFV’s.

The troop door open, as an extra I included a small tv screen, that gives them updates of the battlefield while they drive towards it.

Another view, the driver and gunner have a standarized operator seat, which is more comfortable than most other seats used in Union vehicles.
Also, it uses the old style suspension type.
And ofcourse some propaganda to inspire people to join the army.
