The Starfighter class of the 6890 or Cosmic Cruiser proved to be a reliable model from which to derive distinct classes of space vehicles suited to particular roles. In this case the 6890 was modified for space-superiority role. Above is a good look at LegoSpacy's newest fighter, the 6890-7 HawkStar. 7 is reserved for space-superiority class vehicles.

About this creation

The engine seen from the back. One big thruster is supported by two auxilliary boosters on both sides. These boosters not only give extra speed but also rapid maneuverability with either one booster giving more output than the other to enable the spacecraft fast turns. You can see two smaller impulse thrusters to give the ship a steady banking flight to either left and right directions without turning.

The undercarriage is well-armored and padded to enable the craft rough-terrain landings. You can also see its main weapon, which is a standard armament to all 6890 models.

Head-on, the HawkStar presents a sleek profile making it a hard target to shoot at even if it is bigger than most 6890 models. Also seen are the two kinetic-rounds gun pods mounted on each wing-end hardpoints as this weapons are interchangeable with different payloads be it NBC bombs, energy weapons of various outputs or GUNPAKs.

Even the back end is sleek and mean.

Somewhere, a primitive looks on with disdain at one of the frequent metal birds that fly past his small planetoid.

Hmmm, very nice, something old with a new style. Oh, not sure if you are interested, but I finally got around to posting a MOC. Figured people of HFR!!! would like to see some of my work for a change.
