See those 'claws' it has around the center? I made them open up by centrifugal force and fold back in with rubber bands, when the spinning stops. The trick requires a bit polishing, but worked pretty well for a structure this small.

Nice, you beat me to the whole centrifugal spin thing, I was working on that. Hehe, centrifugal. If you don't want to get into an epic rage fight with any scientists, I suggest you correct it to centripetal, because centrifugal is an imaginary force. I myself am not a centripetal nazi, but just giving you a heads up my Physics teacher routinely she gets in arguments with burly drag racers over this :D
