New Tower 1 for LRFD. Its a Seagrave 95" Mid Mount. I decided to destroy the old one as I was not completley happy with it but am happy with this one. So tell me what ya think.

massive, detailed, it looks very good, is nt the bucket a bit large? it s well balanced because you did a massive elevating arm, but, the original lego bucket is much smaller, I guess you know better, since you re the fire pro! lol! |

I don't think that I have ever seen a tower ladder with a top mount pump. It would add too much to the length of a truck that already is terribly long. Also, I agree with Bob about the windshield; Seagrave has a flat windshield. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/275313
You can't use the sloped six wide and they don't make a flat six wide. For my six wide antique Seagrave I cut two of the four wide windshields and made my own six wide. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/145022
I think it could work for you. I used an Exacto saw and rigged a little jig for this since these were big cuts to make and they had to be straight.
That aside, I like the way that you did the compartments and I think that this is a nice, clean looking truck. I like uncluttered trucks.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you,I will change the windscreen design and remove the pump panel, thank you for the links aswell. I really appreciate you guys helping me out with this Tower. I will definatley give credit to you all when I finish it. Thanks again |

I like it! I have to disagree with Bob, even though Seagrave windshields are less angled, there is still a clear slant to them, so I don't like the way using flat windows looks.
Thank you Andrew. I feel like im stuck between a rock and a hard place LOL. Im gona take the comments on board and play around with a couple of different ideas. I might even change it to a Pierce instead of Seagrave but im not sure. Thanks again |

Not bad. My 2 gripes are the sloped windshield for Seagraves is much more vertical. I know Lego doesn't make a flat 2x2x6 windshield, but the 2x2x1 trans-clear (trans-light blue) panels would work much better. The other gripe is the bucket angle when bedded. It doesn't look right. Maybe have the piece attaching the bucket to the boom put higher on the rear wall of the bucket. Interesting use of the old school vehicle roof as the hinge at the base of the ladder. But like I said, its not bad.
Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback. I will take on board all you have said and make the the changes and hopefully add more detail to it aswell. Thanks again.
