ArcheoGenis is proceeding to decommission all its older star fighters in favor of a new space force: the Uranus StarMechs, a batch of fiercely predominant space vehicles!
About this creation
Uranus class StarMechs are giant mechas designed to operate in space with the same maneuvrability of a star fighter of similar size.

In order to exploit their characteristics in full, ArcheoGenis production and training of Psi pilots increased tenths of times. The strong Psi-Array of the Uranus can also suit the needs of G2 psychics, though it's a rare occurrance.

Cmdr. Olivier, a skilled pilot and chief psi-op aboard the Galamoth Classcarrier "Akhmodan" prior of its destruction, is now in charge of the project.

Due to the heavy energy output required, the cockpit is so cramped that the pilots can hardly scratch their nose. So small in fact, that a smaller helmet had to be designed for them.

The powerful Stream Booster packs are the secret behind the Uranus' power: based on the same principle of the Stream Guns, these boosters are directly linked to an independent Power Core.

Though in atmospherc flight its agility is not on par with aerial fighters, or even with hybrid aero/starfighters, the Stream Boosters are powerful enough to let it take off from a planet on its own.

Of course the pilots can, like in all Psi-Mechs, use their power to enhance the Uranus' performance, and in space aerodynamics count exactly jack -bleep-.

Detai of the Stream Booster

The Uranus is equipped with a Rupture Trident, an updated hybrid weapon taken from old "Indra" designs.

It consists of a Stream Gun mounted between anti-plate vibroblades. Additionally, the Rupture Trident is retrofitted with a supplementary Psi-Array to optimize the pilot's assistance.

Even without it, the Uranus is a weapon itself: the arm's plating equips twin mounted vibroblades, allowing it to ram directly into other vessels!

Its knees also feature vibroblades. "Approach with care" has been redefined.

Its short tail, originally designed only for balance reasons, now mounts vibroblades AND Bionite powersaws.

Overall, the Uranus are terrifying machines, provided with a full EAP, extensive energy shields, defensive psi-field, Bionite coating and regenerative strucure. The apex of ArcheoGenis' space technology.

Note #1: Some of you may remember from old posts (I know for a fact that nobody does) that I always meant to build a gunmetal Bionicle titan. It started with that, in fact, but then when I saw the necessity to build his thighs with system bricks, I went all the way and gave him a cockpit. And a booster pack. The rest is history.
Note #2: Many thanks to Clever Crowe for the "flare" technique (though his was better).

Only thing that is strange to me is the arms everything else awesome the arms are functional but weird to look at. I'm very tall so I don't think I would fit in Uranus. |

I was wondering if you were going to do anymore ArcheoGenis builds or not. Guess you needed a vacation as well to get the creative juices flowing. It's good to see you still are. A quality build as alwasy. |

Excellent work.
The dimensions are great it is not easy to make something that is so tall looking good and stable. I know i from my own.
Yeah, it's the double-jointed legs, they work like a charm in all larger MOCs :) |
