X-1 frame and mechs
The X-1 Frame and armors!
About this creation
The X-1 frame! My first creation here on MOCpages!

The X-1 frame is a highly versatile mini-mech frame.
It can use various weapons and has a nearly unlimited amount of armor building options! Also, I standardized the ammo cartridges for the X-1, making the weapons more realistic.
In this post I have posted the frame and all previous armors made from it.

Here is a pic of the frame:

My first armor, the X-1 Soldier:

The X-1 Soldier is a simple infantry mech with moderate armor and weaponry. The NEX-170 laser rifle is a moderate quick firing gun. Notice the dual barrel on it. This mech was more of an experiment than anything else. Also has a backpack for short flight or extra weapons.

The Heavier version of the soldier:

The Heavy Soldier has only one real change to it: The weapon. It is a heavy NEX-D189 Devastator Cannon. When fired, it literally blows holes into the landscape. Not an improvement of the Soldier, just a variant.

The BlitzEagle II, a flight mech with quite a few missiles:

The BlitzEagle was a mech I had built quite a while ago. This updated version has improved wings, a more aerodynamic armor, and WAY more powerful missiles. It's armament includes the NEX-SR133 high powered sniper rifle and 9 MS-9 missiles. It may not be the fastest in the air, but it's versatility and size make it hard to hit.

The X-1 Marine IV:

I think naval combat is important. That is why I've always had my Marine mechs. This one is highly upgraded, with the ability to fight on land or in water. I've decided that you just can't get as many torpedoes as you need on a mini mech, so I have a new weapon that works underwater and above. It's call the Sound Wave Generator Cannon, or SWGC-1. Set to the natural frequency of most naval ships/subs, this weapon literally rips through anything in it's way. It also has a nearly unlimited amount of shots it can shoot, seeing as it doesn't use normal ammo cartridges. As this weapon is extremely expensive, LTE is not mass producing them for all of it's mechs. the Marine also has a NEX-B258 heavy rifle and is equipped with a water jetpack instead of the normal kind.

The X-1 ARC III:

The ARC is back!!! An old armor I've refitted to a new frame. The Aggressive Reconnaissance Commando armor has been improved tenfold since it's last use. This baby now has a heavy laser rifle (NEX-B258) and two automated cannons on it's backpack PLUS the usual jetpack function. A little bulkier than some armors, this mech also has camouflage and if it's completely still, it is unnoticeable! If moving, it's noticeable but very hard to shoot at. I have to say, the new ARC is way better than the old one.

The X-1 Jungle Trooper:

So far I have never made a mech specifically for jungle terrain, so I tried it out. The Jungle Commando is specially built for the jungle. It has a special laser cutter (NEX-P1). Also has a special backpack. It's a prototype hoverpack. Also has the new standard issue laser rifle.

The X-1 Deserter:

The X-1 Deserter! Not really a deserter, this mech is a desert based mech designed to be able to withstand high temperatures. With coolant packs on it's back, this mech can withstand heavy (laser) firepower due to it's heat shielding. Carries a NEX-B258 Power rifle with extra cartridge. Overall, I'm really proud of this mech.

The X-1 Terratrooper III:

Yes, the Terratrooper is back and it's bigger and badder than EVER!! with heavier armor than the Deserter, the new Terratrooper has even MORE weapons than the original. Equipped with the NEX-B258 heavy rifle, the NEX-QR25 Punisher cannon, and with two light (automated) cannons. Also has extra coolant like the Deserter. The Terratrooper is like the ARC of the desert, just way slower and more stupid.

The X-1 Desert Hawk:

Another flight mech built this time just for the desert! Very much like the BlitzEagle II in many aspects, the Desert Hawk has the same sniper rifle, 8 missiles instead of 9 (but they are the same ones) and nearly the same wings and engines! Some of the only differences are the armor (built to withstand the heat of the desert), the extra coolant, and the radio installed on it's armor so it can communicate with other mechs with the same radio frequency. Also has 2 low power laser machine guns on it's backpack, for aerial combat only.

The X-1 Scipio:

The Scipio unit is an enhanced Skull soldier with AI algorithms that rival the Predator-1. Mass produced as a commander for the Skull Soldiers, Scipio is named after the Roman general Scipio who defeated the Carthaginians in the 2nd Punic War. This unit is even faster and more capable than the original ARCs and the Skull Soldiers. Armed with a NEX-NI12 high powered laser machine gun. Also has extra ammo on it's backpack. Each Scipio unit has a different personality, making them one of LTE's most expensive mini-mechs.

These are all of the previously posted X-1 armors (except for the Skull Soldier). I spent an enter hour on this post typing stuff in and making the descriptions really great, but when I tried to post it, it deleted everything I put in. So I had to take and use all of my older posts from LU on this instead. You may notice that this post mentions "LTE" a lot. I am not referring to myself in the third person (which is for weirdos and royalty only), I am simply referring to my old company which was called LTech Enterprises and had the same initials as my abbreviated username. So, please keep this in mind. I have also attached a compilation of all of my mini mech armors (X-1), including the Skull Soldier.

Nice collection of trooper mecha. Definitely comphrehensive and well made. Nicely made frame too, is it your design? My MGS-341 has a similar concept, albeit a larger (but smaller scale) frame. The large weapons look kind of odd in comparision though. Still I like how you 'bolted' the armor on, very nicely done! ^Blub^

Hey Man Thanks For Joining The Group. You have some nice Mecha here, though I feel that the photos are indeed small, and someone people lack the patience to click and load the various pics. I can see why you like the center arrangement, but you can upload the pictures under the Large format, and then you can type <CENTER> above and </CENTER> below the photo, and it will center the large photos. I know you have the file uploaded, but the page needs to be appealing enough to have people read down that far. Another tip I will give before I head out is about the background. If you don't like the backgrounds and would like to have neutral backgrounds, you may want to read this comment, and the one below it. http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=18247&topicid=72800#comment-827593. Also, I have posted a link that will take you to a section of the group where you can download a file that I made that allows you to use the colors from 4.0.2, that literally gives you 50+ more colors to use when building in LDD. All you have to do is load/import the file and use the dropper tool to select the color you want. http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=18247&topicid=72800#comment-858191

Did you do Crtl+K in Build Mode or Screenshot Mode? You have to do it in Build Mode, other wise it will capture the background. And if for some reason that fails, you can do what I do, which works even in Screenshot Mode. What you can do is go to The Edit Menu, go to the Preferences section, and turn on the High Quality Rendering for Bricks in Scene. After that, Restart LDD, then turn on the Advance shading all the way up, and then you will no longer have the Backgrounds. Just like the photos on my Homepage. Keep in mind the Advance Rendering And Shading Options will slow the process down, depending on your system, so don;t freak out if everything seems slower.

Andrew and LTE: the simplest way I know of to take a screenshot without the background is to be on Build Mode and take a screenshot. and CTRL + K is only the hotkey for it. you can find "Take a Screenshot" in the Tool Box menu on the top. by the way, if you keep the Brick Palette and Web Browser things open on the sides, it'll narrow down the picture, helpful if you don't want to spend time cropping the pictures.

@Andrew, The control K thing isn't working. It keeps making the pictures have the backgrounds. Can you help me on this?

Hmm, these look nice, but I'd like to see them individually, rather than in one large MOC with small pictures. Also, you should look into attaching LXF files to your pages (not sure if you've already figured that out, but...)
