This is a 2006 E-One Cyclone II Pumper. It has a 1500 gpm Hale QMAX pump and a 500 gallon water tank. It is powered by a Cummins 400 HP diesel engine and has an Allison electronic, five-speed automatic transmission.

About this creation

E-One was founded as Emergency One in 1974 in Ocala, Florida. In the 1988 the name of the company was changed to E-One. E-One is one of the leading builders of fire apparatus.

In 1986 Emergency One introduced its Cyclone Custom Chassis. It featured a smooth face on a fixed cab. It was taller than E-One's Hurricane Custom Chassis and was favored for pumpers while the Hurricane was favored for aerials. In 1991 the Cyclone was made available as a tilt cab with a front grill.

In 1991 E-One discontinued production of the Cyclone. That same year the new premium Cyclone II was introduced as the flagship of the E-One line up. These can be distinguished from the original Cyclones by their larger front grills and the lack of side air intakes on the cab. Quoting nathan larsen I like it! making the mirrors be more forward definitely gives it a E-one look. i'm not a huge fan of the headlights/front flashers you have used on this as well as the seagrave. Do the same thing as you did for 2007 Smeal Rescue Pumper for the headlights and front flashers. And my last opinion i promise, if you took a black strip of tape to go across the bottom of your windshield it may give it a little more of that unique e-one look with the angled windshield and front door windows they all have. Nice build though!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. This truck and the Seagrave both have front headlights different from all of the other trucks I have built for MOC pages or Brikcshlef. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Engine552 I wanted to make the front ends look different so I tried this way. I am not totally crazy about it either. You will see the headlight both ways on the next few trucks.
