Lion's Mountain Keep
This is my latest Castle Moc the great Lion's Mountain Keep.
About this creation
This keep was made several hundred years ago, by the first Lion King, Harrald the Fang of the North, before he conquered the lands of Deil-Aranquil. It is built on the spurs of the great DragonScale mountain range. It is near the Elvenfort Otrond Orodrim. Once in a while the Elves take on an apprentice, to teach them their wisdoms and craftmanships.
The keep has not been under siege because itís located to close to the Elven territory, and therefore not interesting to other rulers. King Harrald befriended Magnae Lucan from the Forests of Axehall, a longtime ally of the Elves. In honor of the Supreme-Magnae a statue was erected in the middle of the keepís walls, even bearing his old Staff. The apprentice of the Supreme-Magnae, Magnae Aswald, still resides in the tower of the Keep.

Nobleman Lord Edrik and his wife Milady Gwynne await their son, Jason, who has been studying and learning with the Elves for over ten years.

A small but strong garrison is stationed in the Keep, led by sir Garth of Strongborough.

The King is always accompanied by one of the members of his Kingsguard. (the white cape is a tribute to George R.R. Martin and his series of books, a Song of Ice and Fire)

Magnae Aswald, using books and maps, written and drawn by the Supreme-Magnae Lucan himself.

Forth Wall: I decided to create a story for my Mocs and even an entire Kingdom for my future Mocs. I'm planning on building this Kingdom Microscale, with all Mocs I currently built and those I am planning on building. Hope you liked it :)

greetings,

Elderon

I was going to do something like this! But you beat me to it. Man! But I don't know how well I wouldn've done. This is spectacular! Some texturing on the water wouldn't been nice, but the rest is superb. Great job!

Quoting Ru Corder Oooh, nice one! Love all the action. It does look a tad chaotic at times, and with a little work could have a cleaner feel. Read that thing Ben gave you, it gives all kinds of tasty tips and tricks. And about Bricklink, if I were you, I wouldn't worry about where your bricks come from, as long as you get the bricks! And while just buying sets, that could take a while to get the ones you need.
Oh I'm not worrying where the bricks come from, but I think it's to easy to order bricks when you don't have enough. I think that if you try to build with the bricks you have and use your imagination, you can be more proud of your creation. I know I am :P And the link was already known too me, and indeed very helpful! Although I don't have nearly enough bricks to built just one wall of that house :P. Maybe in a couple of years. The landscaping is phenomenal though, and in my next I'll definately try to use some stuff of that :)

An excellent build! The castle is amazing and the details are great! The boat is an awesome touch too! You show quiet a large amount of potential! I'd like to show you this. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60907 no I'm not advertising one of my MOC's it's a guide on Eurobricks, and it's by the castle building God! I learnt heaps from it and I hope you do too, I see you building as good as him one day!

Quoting Thoy Bradley Looking good dude! Some investment in water texturing pieces would go a treat in these kind of builds. Great work all the same :) ~Thoy
Yeah I know I should, but something inside me really does not want to use bricklink. I want to say in a couple of years, that everything you see in my collection comes from sets, and not bulk-orders. That being said, I recently bought a few bags of lightblue transclear studs on a convention. I told myself that if i wanted to collect them by buying sets it would take several decades :P Although I really regretted doing that nonetheless:) By the way, awesome to be hearing from one of the masters on MOCpages :D

This is really well done. For some reason, my favorite part is the little balcony on the cliff overlooking the water.
