About this creation

This is one of my all time favorite movie weapons, the 1887 Winchester from Terminator 2. I finally got around to building one out of Legos, even though it is just a digital model... for now. It measures just under 26" long, which is almost full size. It's made of over 300 pieces. The lever isn't entirely screen accurate but it does work, as seen in the pics. I'm not sure how well it'll work for the real model. I'll worry about that when I build it. A couple years ago, Marushin put out an airsoft version and I was dying to get one. I never did. But it would be much cooler to have one I designed myself. I still wanna get an airsoft one though.

:) well for me is realistic look more important than working mechanisms. Thats why I like your guns. By the way have you ever tried to make your own gun?

Oh sorry. Yeah absolutely. I love making my own weapons. I had about 10 on my old hard drive before it crashed. I built 4 of those, 3 are lasers and 1 is a bullpup rifle. I have 7 new LDD weapons I've been working on for a while, mostly laser type guns.

I feel the same way. I'd rather have a more realistic looking model than one that shoots projectiles. I have built about 15 of my LDD models, and they hold up very well in real life. I've done the P90, MP5, 9MM, Desert Eagle, M4 with grenade launcher, and a few others. Pics will be on here sometime soon, I hope.

Thanks again Vladimir. I've been admiring this weapon since T2 came out 20 years ago. I try to focus on realism with my models.

Thanks for the comment Matthew. I used alot of pieces that aren't for sale on the Lego website. So I'm gonna have to hit Bricklink when I get some extra cash.
