Category for round 4: Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice - Build a scene or story from the filmography of the American director/producer/artist Tim Burton.
Well, what can I say?!
I just love Tim Burton's work and The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorites.
I tried to build Halloween Town with some of it's most important figures and gave movement to some of them.
There is also light in the fountain but it's hard to see it...
Excellent LEGO rendition of an all-time favorite. The angled building and signature serpent were spot-on Burton details and your character figs are terrific. Congrats and good luck in Round 5!~H
It was fantastic facing you with your brilliant creation(I love that spinning tree)and I wish you good luck vs Jason Corlett. Hope to see you in the finals! -Noah
Thanks you judges! I have always wanted to build something related with Tim Burton's work, but never had the courage because of its special characteristics like: strange characters, strange angles and lots of round shapes... My creation is far away from perfect but I think I managed to catch the "Burtonesque" feeling in it!
Now you can watch the video here too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ex9C1T9z6w
I'm sure Tim would like this too!!! I especially like the mayor and Jack's legs and using the HP parts for the fountain! I believe 2 judges voted for you already... so congratualtions! :)
This Is Halloween, This Is Halloween ... I plan on whatching this later today actually. Fantastic job. I like the use of patrick as the Mayor of Halloween Town. Nice job adding the Boogey's Boys. I love this. But no Boogeyman. ;( Winky Sad Face. Anyway, You did a fantasic job with this, and you still get five smileys from me.
I'm a total Tim Burton freak myself (even built Jack's house last year) so I was really looking forward to this category. Neither of you disappointed in any way and this was a really tough call for me. You got my vote! Good luck with the other judges! ~ Chris.
Nice work, i can see perhaps that the tree is perhaps meant to spin around? I'll look out for you video to see it in action! Best of luck with your judges. :)
