Peter "Splice" Rogers
here's my character for Eroomdivad's Theran Strike story.
About this creation
here you go ED. my entry for Theran Strike: The Farglow Facility.

Name: Peter Rogers
Callsign: "Splice"
Position: Technician
Weapons: magnetic-accelerator carbine rifle, fragmentation grenades
Equipment: multitool, palm decryptor, spare Protomag power cells
BakPak: magnetic weapon clamp, datapad, electroscope
Personality and Talents: very optimistic and light-hearted. constantly cracking jokes, he rarely ever gives a serious answer to anything. if he encounters a problem, he never gives up until he finds a solution. enjoys tinkering with electronic equipment and has a natural talent for technical work. unfortunately one of his biggest fallbacks is his aim, as he is a poor shot with just about anything. often prefers small, easy-to-handle weapons over larger ones.

he has great skill as a technician. his best friend is his infinitely useful datapad, which is hardly more than a portable supercomputer and is able to process massive amounts of data in moments.

his preferred weapon is a magnetic-accelerator carbine rifle, a compact but deadly weapon that utilizes magnetic rails to hurl a projectile at unbelievable speeds. Splice always did like hi-tech stuff. he can also commonly be seen with small sidearms and other compact weapons.

his BakPak holds his datapad, his carbine rifle, and his electroscope.

instead of the more common arrangement of four ammo clips in the armpits, Splice only has two, filling one armpit with a pair of fresh Protomag power cells, helpful if the power cell in his chest dies out.

on one hip he has two standard-issue fragmentation grenades. the other hip has his multitool and his palm decryptor. the multitool is an all-in-one tool for just about any job you can think of, from wire cutters to a power wrench, from a soldering iron to a screwdriver. his palm decryptor is an all-purpose decoding tool for jobs like cracking the lock on a door or hacking into a computer mainframe.

well that's Splice. I already mentioned this elsewhere I think, but I made slight modifications to the original Mech. I added a commlink to the helmet, put a power cell in the chest, made some slight changes to the BakPak, as well as some differences in color scheme. tell me if any of this isn't allowed and I'll edit it.

Quoting ED Eroomdivad Very nice. Just a few things: the comlink isn't required, it is built into the neural controls; the computer is also unneeded, LTMs use HUDs and the mech itself can access all of the LT databases that the pilot is allowed to see as well as internet, media and scientific articles; the palm hacker is built into the hand of techs anyway. And I like the rail gun carbine.
hmm... well, that certainly makes sense. why didn't I think of that? it's just like the stuff RC's have. well, just don't mention those particular things in your story, I guess.
