As VDS grows more prestigious, so do our war machines. The Armored Mobile Gun System (AMGS) is a platform centered around a high-powered engine and a high-velocity 130mm main gun (the very same found in our later AMBT series). The 8x8 capability of the vehicle allows for nearly unmatched maneuverability while the advanced, lightweight chassis allows for a classified high speed. The invested carbon-film electronics allows for more space to be contributed to crew protection and ammunition storage; this greatly helps with the warfighters' psyche. The major role of the AMGS to enable nearby infantry to counter medium armored vehicles and entrenched foes at a rapid pace. The crew consists of only two (commander/gunner and a driver) in which case are both housed in the front of the vehicle in a near-tandem arrangement. Some have argued the dual role of the commander is a flaw; however, automation and networked systems found within the AMGS severely reduce the need for a third crewman. Anyhow, although the gun itself is rather short, it allows for greater urban warfare capacity rather than going head-on with tanks. On note of the latter, the speed and all-terrain capability make this vehicle and apex flanking vehicle on the ground and can easily outpace contemporary MBTs and shove a round in the posterior end of said MBTs. All-in-all, the AMGS is a flexible and reliable war machine capable of matching nearly all threats.
Very cool! Love the turret, especially since you left the gold on there. I do feel like the back is a little odd, though. Even just raising it by one plate might make it less awkward. I'm very pleased to see your latest two creations.
Very cool design!! I really like your style of building, one small nit and it may have been designed this way, but the second wheel well seems a bit high. I'm in love with the turret and gun barrel. Great build!! This moc of mine is right up your alley, http://mocpages.com/moc.php/291709 check it out if you get a chance. ~cheers
