This is a 1988 Emergency One Cyclone Pumper that features a 1500 gpm pump and a 750 gallon water tank.
About this creation
E-One was founded as Emergency One in 1974 in Ocala, Florida. In the 1988 the name of the company was changed to E-One.
By the mid-80s Emergency One was among the leading manufacturers of fire apparatus in America. It aggressively marketed its apparatus that featured modular bodies built of aluminum. With modular building techniques, Emergency One could deliver apparatus is less than half the time of its more established competitors. The aluminum bodies would not rust in even the harshest climates.
In 1986 Emergency One introduced its Cyclone Custom Chassis. It was among the first in a long line of custom chassis products offered by Emergency One and now E-One.
It is hard to think of a 1988 engine as an antique. However, being built before the 1991 revisions of the NFPA standard for fire apparatus, this engine lacks many of the safety features that are required in today's apparatus. BFD552@gmail.com.
