Janice and The Wayward Turkey
My entry for FBTB MOC Madness 2011.
About this creation
Janice, our bounty hunter.

The bounty, contained in the climate controlled cargo pod.

Various views of the Wayward Turkey. A super fast supply shuttle retrofitted for bounty hunting.

Greebles, nicely color cordinated.

Showing how the cargo pod/prisoner hold attaches. Can you guess where the color scheme came from?

Thanks for viewing my first ever moc to be seen beyond my wife. Comments are always welcome and for the full back story view my entry over at FBTB.

Thanks for the comment. Come to think of it it does look like a penguin more than a turkey. Unfortunately this peice has been pretty much taken apart aside from a few bits and peices of it floating around in my project bins. Besides, the neck and wings were connected only by a few studs on hinges so it wasn't all that strong. Had it on my shelf for a while and it would fall apart just by looking at it. I do have a fondness for the color scheme and may one day expand on the theme of future NASA craft.

Good work. As sma stache pointed out, it does look a bit more like a penguin. I think if you reduced the size of the containment unit, you could make it a bit more aerodynamic on the bottom.

Well thanks everyone for the positive feedback. Looks like I just missed on this one coming 9th in my pool. Still quite pleased with that given that this was my first MOC. And @Eric W.: you don't have to tell me that turkey is delicious, I'm known to throw the best american thanksgiving this side of Northern Ireland ;)

Turkey is not only a cool animal, but quite delicious! Sorry... Love the shaping and design of this ship. The cargo pod is also a cool touch. Nice work!

thanks. the color scheme is supposed to be reminiscent of the space shuttle as it is meant to be a future earth ship transposed into the SW universe. the whole idea of it was to use all my old legos i had as a kid and not touch newer parts liked curved slopes and what not. the intakes were originally the white rings with three grill plates but i wanted to keep them round. the tires were the real eureka moment of the build. thanks for noticing.

Welcome to the pages! Great build! I love shape and color scheme ... looks like a penguin sliding on ice lol. Great use of the tires and wheels for booster intakes!! Very resourceful. ~cheers
