Excellent mohican! Reminds me of Glen Plake! I did the thing of wondering if could make one, then I counted the parts and the answer was "NO". Great fun and cleverly done to stick to the CS rules. |

I do like it. I love seeing a technique pushed to the limit. I also like the punk/space outfit. |

I just bought a black helmet for my only black spaceman who had lost his one over the years. It cost quite a bit for a used plastic part. Same with the blue car chassis for the scooter of the Cosmic Cruiser... :-)) Big boys and their toys :-)) |

Thanks for the comments guys
@ Nils. Yeah I am not sure where the LL928 number plate came from but a neighbour gave me a small box of used Lego when I was about 10 ish. I think that’s where I got my classic space from. I have recently bought a few figures from Ebay. I think I am trying to re-live my lost childhood. Hahaha aren’t we all ;)

Oh no, I haven't written a comment here, yet... I must have been very busy when you posted it, because I remember that I really liked it a lot. The design is very cool, especially the "Mohawk" combined with the classic Space colours! It's hard to believe that you bought too many Technic sets to get the space sets with the "license plates" of the "master chief" model LL928 on this model ;-)) Haha, just kidding :-)) Great job, Joe! |

Quoting Joost Cumps
Hi Joe :-) , I didn't even start on the 8070! No, I don't like the looks that much, and the functionalities are also not my piece of cake ( gearshifting to open doors? come on...) :-) I always intended to buy the set to obtain the parts for my own Supercar. Ideally it would become a 1930's-sportscar- prototype thing. We will see. I first need to finish my Mehari, then a P68. In between I want to build a helicopter in "Cars"-style, and need to finish a trailer so that the unimog can transport my techrod. The trialtruck will be in the refrigerator for a few years :-) Much greetings!
Hahaha you sound very busy. I have started my GT40 but really struggling with it. I would like to build another Bugatti Veyron with my 8070 parts. Make it 4 wheel drive and stick in another V8 and maybe a working gearbox, but time is always against us. I aggree it is a funny use for the gearbox but I really like its aggressive looks and size. Talk soon :)

My favorit sets: 8275 bulldozer (my first set with RC), the 8043 excavator (the RC switch to the next functions, how they lead the power towards the tracks), and the 8110 (PTO and pressure by choice to the front or rear.) The ferrari's have the looks, these certainly have the functions... What car are you going to build for the scrap car contest? |

Hi again :-). Loose the 3/4 pins, they make the steering better; it doesn't touch anything, unless extreme circumstances. The front axle is indeed a bit of ,in my trial truck I used another system to keep the axle in place, and that was better. It unimog does lean a bit, I think it's the battery box. By the way is a battery box from a RC different from this one? I first used the box from the Trial truck (from the bulldozer), and it did nothing? |

Hi Joe, did I read right, and do you know have a certain unimog on the shelf? I can't wait to hear your opinion on the set. My idea one of the best two technic sets ever. Only three are competing, and they are pretty recent( and no cars). I hope you got a good price, apperently in Belgium all stores are selling them for 139,99€ (120.22£). Next on the wishlist is 8070 but I just need the parts to create a vehicle that looks good against Techrod. The Dodge trial is put away, I think I make a simplified version once. Currently I am making a trailer, so the unimog can tow the techrod (pretty much the same scale), and then i urgently need to make a scrap car. Greetings to you, I hope in UK it isn't raining that much then in Belgium :-) |

Yes it was a VERY tight game. 8-7. could've gone either way really. Felt sorry for the French they looked so woebegone. Poor dears. Last time we won the cup was 1987 so the country is elated. |
