Ravager Mech Building Instructions
No it's not a new creation. I was asked for instructions from a builder I greatly admire so I figured I'd give it a shot. I could not use LDD because even on Universe mode some parts were still missing so next best option; photograph mech in various stages of disrepair. Originally this was just going to be added to the original creation, but it turned out about 160 pictures long so I gave it its own page.
About this creation
Before we go anywhere I would like to say that anyone is allowed to use these to build, alter, improve my design how he/she sees fit. I don't even care if you don't give me credit (it would be nice, but not required.) All I do ask is that if you do build it I would love to see what you did with it so send a me a link or something.

(I realize that this is a lot of pictures so I apologize in advance if your internet cant load them all. Also if you know of a better way to go about posting this I'm open to suggestions.)

I hope these are clear and easy to follow I will try to address any difficulty anyone is having with them.

Also attaching the top panels with the arms to the body is a little tricky because it is a tight fit with the cockpit so don't get frustrated just take your time.

Me2: I have LDD Extended. my problem isn't brick selection, the problem is that there are some things you can do in real life that you can't do on LDD.

If some of the parts were missing in Universe Mode, look up how to unlock Extended Mode. Way more pieces and colors.

aww, that stinks. I was going to try and build this in LDD (I'd build it in real life, but my LEGO collection is missing several key elements needed to make this), but unfortunately this is a prime example of LDD's inability to match real bricks. oh well, maybe I can scrape up the funds to buy the pieces I need. by the way, nice work on this.

I'm going to rate this page out of honor to you for taking the time to make these instructions. Kudos to you, sir. I probably wouldn't have done it. Keep on brickin'!

Quoting Androctonid - Thank you. Thank you. I swear not to post my variant until I do it justice. Naturally, I'll give you credit. I wouldn't be surprised if this became a trend similar to the VVs!
I'm sure you'll have no problem doing it justice and I cant wait to see where take my design to the next level.

Quoting Cedekane . So I've never actually worked on someone else's moc before, haha, is it ok to change things around? Of course I'm gonna give you full credit, but because the difference in parts/build styles, it's recognizable...but still a variant. In any case, its been a lot of fun, I hope I have enough of the right parts to fix it. Thanks. (I did finally get it standing, Hurray! The ball joints around the pelvis keep moving forward and making it look cowardly though...Boo!)
It's fine buy me if stuff gets changed around, My original plan was for people to put their own spin on it even if it's different colors. Then I can compare their version to the origination and maybe get some ideas of different parts usage. I'm really pleases that you stepped up and kept with it and I'm excited to see your version.

Quoting Cedekane . Haha, the part I don't have is that technic disc thingie. It's starting to set in that those must be really important. They have a snap in them that helps them carry the weight? Anyway started with ball joints yesterday, which is meaning more bulk and less friction to be able to support itself...got to the upper joint...and it's too much weight for it....already? Haha, just need some thinking time. Thanks again man, REALLY love the design now that I see more into the inner workings.
Yeah those technic disc joints are hard to come across, but defiantly worth it this mech uses my entire collection of them. The do have that nice snap, but the middle joint cant support the weight unless it is bent all the way to one side like it is in the pictures. I really cant wait to see what you come up with.

The mech is epic. Not sure if it is just my browser but the pictures aren't on the page properly, the just mess up the layout adn dissapear off the side. Not sure if anyone else is having that problem... EDIT: They work fine on my phone but not my computer...

Quoting Cedekane . Sooooo friggin' rad! Just from the first few pics I can see I'm missing some parts in the leg areas that are somewhat integral....but I'm gonna have a blast trying to find a work around! Thanks Shawn, really appreciate the hard work, you just gave me a project!
Hey, your welcome. I'd love to see what you do with it.

Btw your mech is great but the leg's should be a tad shorter and possiblly thicker. These look thin that wouldnt help if it got shot there.

Quoting Josh Guilbert Nice job.But this kind of mech isnt to my style.A Gundam style mech or somthing shorter is my style.Im gonna make my effort to upload my new drone today.Took a much different approach than my other drones
Never was a fan of the Gundam look myself, but that's the fun with mechs there's a style for everyone.

Quoting Makuta Nellor Oh! That is awesome. Could you tell which sets did you use? I want to build that! Perfect properties!
I cant say for all the sets, but I can list a few. Mostly the Seperatist sets from the Clone Wars line, the Tri-fighter, hyena droid, and Neut Gunre's shuttle. The 3 legged clone walker (forgot the name) and some bits from the huge collector series AT-ST (mostly for the leg joints which are rare in most sets.) And the Imperial V-wing for the cockpit. A lot of the pieces can come from elsewhere, but that covers most of the construction.
