About this creation
Formerly Brush 44, this Ford F550 was converted into a light rescue truck. It carries extrication equipment, airbags, air shores, cribbing/wood shoring, saws, RES-Q-JACKS, rope throw-bags, forcible entry tools, absorption powder, and BLS medical equipment. It can haul up to 5 1/2 tonnes, and can pull multiple trailers. Mounted on the outside are (2) two K-12 rescue saws, a flat-head axe, sledge hammer, and a Hurst combination tool. The Hurst combi tool can be started from the cab of the truck and is ready for use as soon as they arrive on scene.

I'm not trying to be "that guy", but wouldn't an engine company with basic rescue equipment be able to handle fast response light rescue duty? Don't get me wrong, this is a cool build, I like it.
Most engines don't carry airbags, shoring, and jacks, nor do they have a winch mounted on the bumper. And the extrication equipment on this is considered faster and more efficient than what the engine companys carry. |

Very Nice CC, didn't Brickville have a Large tandem Axle Rescue? Any ways love the Truck, of course your cab, and the trailer, has a nice clean look to it! -Paulo R.
Thank you! And yes, the tandem axle rescue you are referring to is Rescue 33, it is still in service. This was built because of a need for a quicker Rescue Company response time in Station 1's district. |
