Poseidon - Entry 9 - LDD WIP - Turbine prototype
13558 parts! The new Vortex technology turbines now allow higher speeds to this big mass of steel!
About this creation
Sorry to bother you so often with so small updates, but it's nice to have your opinions, all along this long designing process...

I've designed the rear to launch and to store antisubmarine mines. Above, this will be the helicopter area.

I've continued to design the support for the first floor... I'm forgetting some details I've added, well! you will be able to see them later...

=)

As usual, the last minute update! I'm preparing the hull to be closed, and to welcome a nice superstructure. The waterproof walls strongly link the both sides of the hull.

there is no way I'd have the patience to design something like that

Quoting sma stache I just realized your the master behind this GIANT ship :-) if you actually build this, you will be immortalized even more than you are after the Titan. I have been following your updates and like so many others, am anticipating its finish. After such a long dark age you really came back firing the big guns!! Thanks for your comments and keep up the good work! ~cheers
Thanks you, Buddy! I can't wait to show you my new update, since the hull is almost entirely closed... ;-)

Quoting Colin J Jesus Christ! I love the detail you put into your creations, you never stop amazing me. Also, do you buy the pieces after designing them in LDD, if so, how much does that cost so far?
Hi, and thank you for your interest in Poseidon! With my new update incoming, I'm unhappily reaching more than 3000!!!(for almost 15400parts) I'll have to love it at least as much as I loved Titan! =)

Quoting Yuri Fassio I hope you have a plan for making it stand... in the real world we have this thing called "gravity" that give us some problems with that kind of thing, every now and then...
For the moment, I think the stand will not be made of Lego, but I'm already thinking about a way to make one, obviously! =)

I like the idea of bow thrusters but, and its a big but: it would ruin the looks of the ship, I think.

Quoting jim mcdonough whilst i appreciatte the amount of work you hav put into this.in reality it will struggle to float if it were real.it doesnt really hav the displacement it woulld need.it would capsize.maybe stabiisers are called for and flat bottom or a catarmaran style hull.also no matter what drive you have most twin drives require twin rudders or steering nozzles or asipods to make manouvering easier.you might think of installing bow and stern side thrusters.anyway still impressive keep it up
I appreciate all your realism comments, and you're probably right, but I ask you to imagine a new generation ironclad, withe a dual hull, that, thanks to new composite materials, is quite light, but heavily armoured... And it's fast, thanks to its turbines. And it has a weighted keel... To stabilize it...

Epic detail on those engines. Now, I sincerely hope that the whole ship is as good as you're making it, because then your second MOCie would be assured!

The bottom view gives an idea about the size... gigantic! I like the way you modified the rear, it looks way more modern like that in my humble opinion. Quite interesting to follow the improvments of the turbines, I think the best result so far. Courage, le haut de col est encore loin... ^^
