Planking can be quite hard, for example, planks that involve extreme body tension to stay in the position.

@PlaceMatt: I do Parkour as well, but I have never actually heard of planking being compared to Parkour. They are two different things entirely; one is staying stationary in ridiculous places and the other is fluid movement through an environment. While I personally dislike planking, contrary to popular belief it actually does require a fair bit of skill to stay in that position.

Not to be rude but, I think planking is totally retarded. I do Parkour, and it kinda feels like a knock-off version of Parkour. There really isn't any skill to planking so when ever I see someone doing it I don't see any skill in it.
