Close-in Weapon System "PHALANX".
About this creation
The Phalanx CIWS is an anti-ship and anti-missile defense system. It is a close-in weapon system (CIWS) and it has been designed by Raytheon. Consisting of a radar-guided 20mm Gatling gun mounted on a swivelling base, the Phalanx is used by the United States Navy on every class of surface combat ship, by the United States Coast Guard.
Rate of fire: 4,500 rds per minute
Magazine: 1550 rounds
Range: 2,000 meters.

Since that brick clones have been allowed in MocOlympics and widely used during the last Brickon, I decided to make this powerful weapon that amazes me.
A very nice mini-gatling gun recently released was used to give the scale.

Don't be misunderstood: the radar is under the white fairing and the magazine is under the gatling gun.












This is an unpretentious little MOC.
I haven't published anything for a few months (some hard time at work) even if I kept wathching my favorite builders'creations.
Built within one hour just for fun and pleasure. It will be dismantled after publishing.
