My World War 2, black German Tiger I tank. It has a turning turret and improvised interior. Driving in a small landscape. I think it's a pretty good one for a first try.
About this creation
It's the first tank i've ever made, tough I think I did a good job. In fact, this Tiger is my second attempt to do one; maybe a half year ago I suddenly got the idea of building a WOII tank. I did some research and printed some pictures of a German tank. I failed completely and started building something else. 3 days ago I saw this tank and I thought: hey, why I don't start again. Wel here it is.......
First an old german barricade with a land mine and a part from a catterpilar.
Now the tank. The tank was not easy to build, altough i did it in only two evenings. For the turret I used a SNOT (studs not on top) technique that maked it easier to create the "round" shape and to put the barrel on it. In the body I did an simple interior and altough I had some pictures of the interior, I just improvised a litle bit.
The interior. In the front are the driver seat and controls and a smal engine. Right in the middle is a seat for "passengers". Behind the seats is a small container with some tools, a telescope, a first aid box and a backpack. In the rear is the ammo. I tried to build the tank in minifigure-scale, but it won't fit a minifig.
The, a litle bit out of scale, engine.
The turret
Haha! You didn't saw this hiding place on the first photo's, did you? A small addition: a perfect spot for a ambush with some camouflage to hide it for the enemy's.
I'm not familiar with building guns but I gave it a try: a black machine gun with gunlayer.
