This is an entry for the contest "Dan the Man's 5th Car Contest: Modern Rubbish."
About this creation
Here's my latest car, and it's easily the hardest MOC I've ever built. The Zonda S Roadster is my second favorite car. It was very hard to make everything open and to make the chassis strong enough to keep it from bending. One of the hardest parts of building this car is finding information about the real one...it took me probably about a week to just to find out what this car's name is! There are so many different versions of this car, but I eventually found out which cars have what name, what's the difference between the other versions, etc.... As you can see, I borrowed some technics form Firas Abu-Jaber's Zonda. You can find more pictures of this MOC
here.
The overall view of the supercar.

Hi LB hope you are well. Any more cars planned? Hi MS, I am doing well. How about you? Yes and no: I have one or two cars that will be complete once I make a BL order, but they're not exactly "new" since they've been sitting around for a few months; but yes, new to you and everyone else here. -LB Jr.

Hi LBj wow 80 Likes - getting close to a well deserved 100. Not sure about the MO, I entered at the last possible minute last year, so lets hope I get that spark of inspiration again and pull off another firebird-esque build with a new technique (those wings have proved very popular). But I think it would be a great idea for you guys to enter. It will definitely help with your moc block. Good luck buddies ;)
Yes, it's slowly climbing closer to 100. ;-) I hope you join the MO - but I hope I wont have to face you cause I'd loose right away. I was wondering, did you make BL orders for your entries? I might have to but it would be risky because they usually give you ten days to build. |

I didn't understand just the part of "old HTML code". where do I get it?
Generally, when you click on share and embed, they give you the new HTML code, which MOCpages doesn't allow. But there is a list of options, below the video where you can select the old HTML code or "old embed code, which MOCpages allows. I honestly have no idea what the difference between the two is, just that the old one is the one you'll want. I hope you'll understand now. ;-) |

Sorry, I didn't catch it. I want to put a video on my moc, so I have to go on "Edit" and then put the HTML code between the pictures codes? Please explaine better xD
Copy the old HTML code that you want to share on MOCpages. Then paste it in the "Edit" page. Not in the "Introduction," but in the box below "Add photos." No, you do not need to paste it between picture codes; it does not rely on other HTML codes to work. If you are having trouble still, try adding it to a new page, which doesn't have anything else in it. Just go to preview to see if it works. If MOCpages won't let you preview it because they don't allow "iFrames," then that means you copied and pasted the NEW HTML code - be sure you select the OLD HTML code. I hope this helps. |

Awesome build, but don't you think that there are a lot of influence of Firas Abu-Jaber's Zonda?
Yes, back then I wasn't good enough to come up with a design as good as his.

Hi LB, thanks for comments on my latest. I will be trying a Maserati soon but not sure which one yet. Any suggestions? Have you solved the steering for your RC? I dont have any RC stuff so I cant offer any advice. Nice door technique by the way! Do they pop out before swinging open? If so, thats a clever way of avoiding the tight door issue.
I'm honestly not sure. Perhaps a 250F or a 151. I haven't really found a good steering mechanism; I'm might try what Firas did on his Nissan - do you know what parts he used? I'd want them to have suspension like his. But I'm not sure when I'll build it, if ever, as I'm guessing it'll cost a total of around $200 to build. Yes, the doors pop open, then swing out. -LB Jr

Hi :). Sorry I haven't replied until now. Hope you are well. Glad to hear your transporter is coming on - great news. Mine is about 75% complete too, I need to do the same things as you plus the interior, our transporters are very similar vehicles. I now what you mean about BL and taking mocs apart :(. But at least we get a brand new moc to play with. I bet your zonda will stay built for a while. The biggest problem I have is storing all this Lego. I'm teaching Kung fu tonight but I will be building over the weekend - happy days. Good luck with your latest mocs, I can't wait to see them. Joe :)
I was planning on posting my McLaren MP4-5B 3 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago, and last weekend but I just couldn't find time to do it. Actually, it was ready to be posted a few days after my Zonda. But I should be able to post it Friday night or Saturday morning. |

NICE! Great work on the curves and the proportions. Love to see you tackle a slightly larger scale and just go nuts on the detailing. Meanwhile, killer job!
Thank you! I'm currently building a large (21 track width (front) 23 track width (rear) - 53 studs long I think) McLaren MP4/5B. But although I have a decent Lego collection, most of the parts I are still "free" are old ones that my dad had as a kid, so it's mostly 2 by 2 and 2 by 4 blocks. And I really don't want to spend too much on Bricklink, so I'll work with what I have...we'll see how it turns out. |

Very nice Zonda, but you took too much technics and details from Firas Abu-Jaber's Zonda.
Actually, a lot of the technics that I borrowed from Firas aren't even exactly the same - I used different pieces to create a similar result. :) Perhaps the reason why it may look so close is because of the headlights. ;) If you look at the most of the Lamborghinis on MOCpages, you'll find that a lot of them have "Firas technics" in them. I didn't become lazy and just copy Firas completely... :) |
