The Innenrrad
An awesome Motorcycle jampacked with realistic features.
About this creation
About the MOC
I first built the Innenrrad back in September of 2011. It has remained unchanged until now(June 9th, 2013).
I worked on the MOC to address the structural and functional issues it had at the front end, as well as redesign the aesthetics of that area. The new features include:
  • overall better looking front end

  • stabler construction

  • Front wheel no longer rubs against the cannon arms(midak skyblasters) when turning

  • smoother rolling front wheel

  • improved kickstand for added stability

The Innenrrad as a MOC sports many realistic functions and details.
  • handlebar steering

  • Front and rear suspension

  • adjustable seat

  • cannon arms that swing out and actually fire

  • lowerable kickstand

  • realistic details that include

    • Headlights

    • tail lights

    • and rotated Hero Factory core "I" badges

Both the adjustable seat and the cannon arms work by rotating axles that have Gear screws connected to gears to produce movement. The steering system is liftarm based and employes the Towball system to work in tandem with the rear suspension system causing the handlebars to pivot vertically. This all allows the Innerrad to have a Steering+suspension system.

bio
The innenrrad was first a prototype vehicle built by Kumignasi as a vehicle specialized for long treks across the Bara Magnan deserts. The prototype was destroyed in a bad crash that almost killed Kumignasi and left him permanently disfigured. The prototype had gone to full testing phases and while he was recovering the Innenrrad was put into full production as a vehicle that could be purchased or won in gladiatorial matches. The first production model built was given to Kumi, which he traded to Melanthios who is now primary pilot and owner of it.

The innenrrad is a very fast but not very agile vehicle, its turning radius is rather large, making it difficult to maneuver in tight winding areas. It is best suited for relatively flat open land where it can reach its high speeds and have plenty of room to maneuver. It also sports an array of weaponry for fending off hostiles out in the vicious deserts of Bara Magna. The primary "light weapon" is the dual fusion blasters located towards the front of the vehicle, these blasters are situated low to the ground as to target opposing vehicle's wheels tracks or legs.
The secondary "heavy" weapon consists of dual extendable cannon arms. When retracted the arms act as armoring for the main body of the innenrrad. When extended the cannons are armed and can be fired. The does leave the innenrrad more susceptible to damage. With the awesome firepower tucked away in those cannons, the enemy usually busy running away rather than attacking. The cannon arms can also be detached or ejected from the cockpit if damaged, or if a quicker get away is required. Some drivers like to experiment with different armaments in place of the cannon arms which come stock, often having many different "load in's" for different situations or tasks. These usually range from additional rapid fire weapons, variants of heavy artillery, flame throwers, mine droppers or simply additional armoring to keep the vehicle light while protecting the engine compartments. Melanthios in particular keeps his model stock as he doesn't possess much skill in mechanics.
As well as being adequately armed Innenrrads are sturdily built to take a beating. They can handle mild to moderately high jumps and in extreme cases can withstand landings from larger heights but the odds of the vehicle remaining functional drastically decrease. The Innenrrad also features a compartmentalized engine that operates both the front and rear wheel while having smaller engines in each wheel as redundancies to prevent complete immobilization from engine failure. These additional engines also come online when the vehicle reaches higher speeds to assist in high speed performance. They will power off when the Innenrrad is slowed down to conserve fuel cell depletion

By "pull it off", I mean featuring this without you being in the group.

Don't know how to pull what off? Thanks for your comments though. You really seem to like my Vehicle MOCs. :)

Quoting Andrew31kbrick193 /// That's stunning machinery right there. BTW: I made a Bionicle Vehicles group, and I would love for your vehicle to be featured on it, are you ok with that?
Thank you. :) I'm okay with that. Can you feature it without me being in the group? I don't join groups unless they have at least 100 members, and even then that's kinda low.

Quoting Giovanni & Lennaert Seynhaeve Listen, I'm not into Bionicle, I don't like it and don't even consider it Lego because of the abscence of studs. But every once in a while something totally awesome Bionicle shows up here on the pages. This is one of those times. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the compliment. Though I must say, that's a very narrowminded view of bionicle. Bionicle can be completely integrated into lego system. I'm actually incorporating a lot more tiny system parts into my MOCs. Bionicle is pretty different, to me its the thinking mans lego. It requires way more engineering and mechanical prowess. And it still require a keen aesthetic. Its also very three dimensional even in its basics, where lego's 3 dimensionality come in a more intermediate setting. It didn't take me long to gravitate away from system once bionicle came out. I've always liked its challenge. I never really got that from system when I was younger. Now though I can see where it exists.
