Truly unique and very whimsical. But in the end I think Corlett's piece was just a bit more substantial. That said, this is one of my favorites of the competition. Great job! |

I'm so sorry, Mihai, but your opponent got my vote. Your presentation and idea is awesome; it reminds me of a mixture of Tim Burton and David Lynch. Jason used more details in his MOC, but I'll keep an eye on your future work.
Thank you to you and to the other judges, it was my first contest and I enjoyed it. Best of luck to the all great builders out there. |

This is creepy! It's so colorful, but then you notice all the dead people. It's cheerful killing! The architecture of the building is nice, especially the mixing of colors and all of those bits that were used as details even though they weren't intended by TLG to be used as such. Good luck! |

That was a great build and fun to find all the little body parts lying around. I just think Jason took it to that next level in his post. Hold you head high though man, this is a GREAT piece of work. My vote went with Jason. Good luck with your other judges! ~Chris. |

Brilliant take on the category! Like everyone else, I had to do a double take when I saw the head! An excellent example of being hidden in plain sight if I ever saw one! Good luck! |

Really neat take on your quote Mihai, it really has a "where's Wally ('s mutilated corpse)" feel about it, and also harks back to creepy old fairytales like the gingerbread house etc. I love the curves in the lamposts and the plants growing from underneath the house - it really gives it that cutesy, innocent, childlike vibe - all part of the plan i suppose! xD |

What a fantastic test to see just how close attention people really pay to your mocs. I was doop doop dooping along quite happily when the head in the cauldron made me do a double take. |

Nice work! It took me a while to see how this fit the theme, but once I did it made much more sense. I love the many colors of this, and that hand coming out of the water is very clever. Good luck! |

I got almost to the bottom of the page before noticing the hat in the water. I instantly scrolled back up and saw it all in a new, albeit darker, light.
Fantastic work!

But... if the Elf plans to ensnare and kill the Dwarf, it makes no sense that he'd present himself armed. For once, he would put the Dwarf on his guard, and second he could just shoot him point blank, with no need for such an elaborate trap.
Good point but we can assume that he wants some information first (maybe to know a location of a hidden treasure that only the dwarf knows) or he likes to torture him first ...so many possibility's... also I like the shield with the bow in combination, they look excellent together with the elf :) |

You really nailed this! I did not think text was necessary as your visuals spelled the idea out perfectly. The hat in the water, the skeleton in the bushes and the severed head in the basket said all that needed saying. Best of luck! |

Beautiful again! But I agree with the comment below, a little more text explanation wouldn't hurt. I like the subtly placed dwarf skeleton and severed head though... I'm guessing the statue is booby trapped? |

Wow this looks colourfully cool. Love the cartoony feel of this creation. There is a problem though, i can't see how it ties in with your category, you might want to try to explain how it's related or i fear you may be marked down due to confusion. Best of luck! |
