Contrary to our nature, we at XT decided to start off the UGM-7 line with one of the best, the Spectre! This mech uses the basic Guardian frame with no armor adjustments, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t powerful!
About this creation
Name: Spectre
Role: Basic heavy fire support, rapid response
Tonnage: 10.0 (without gun), 10.7 (with gun)
Weapons: Gradd HAR-120 (Heavy Armament Rifle, clip size: 120)

The Spectre makes use of the UGM’s ability to strap weapons to its back, providing for an efficient and easy way to carry weapons when not using them.

The Gradd HAR-120 fires incendiary bullets at a rate of 65 rounds per minute. While it may not sound like much, we at XT have found this to be a very affective fire rate, as it both conserves bullets and puts out a steady slew of projectiles.

As an interesting tidbit, the Guardian’s new AI system allows for very sophisticated tracking systems, one such system being the tracking of incendiary bullets, both incoming and leaving. Previous XT mechs have not had this ability.

The Spectres have been on the production line for nearly a week now, and XT will have at least four-hundred units ready to hit the battlefields within the next few days.

My Notes: You may be wondering what the last picture has to do with the Spectre, since it is only recolored. Well, it is a DbM (Design by Me, lego’s website for LDD) compatible model, meaning that the bricks that make it can be bought from the DbM website, or by Pick-a-Brick, my preferred choice. The reason for this: I might be able to get the bricks for it. Let’s hope for the best, and a UGM-7 real-life model! As always, please rate/comment, and thanks for looking!

I like the gun. it looks looks like "You can drag it through the mud and it'll still fire."*
A very effective-looking design.-----(*Quote: Major Kira, Star Trek Deep Space Nine) |

I see, I know exactly what you mean, I've been working on all of my basement levels, mainly my huge farming area, to make everything look more like a finished basement, instead of a cave filled with trees, wheat, and other farming aspects. If you want, we could show each other our worlds before I head back home later this week, up to you, I have the perfect method to it. And I'll check by later to see if you posted, and speaking of posting, I managed to overhaul one of my old MOC Pages, since you said you wanted me to post something, along with others, I posted that as an example of my work for members of HFR!!! to view. Feel free to check it out. |

I see, so you're not finished with the place quite yet, let me know if you post a video. What I had in mind was using TeamViewer, it allows you to view someone's computer screen or them to view yours. You can even use it remotely control their computer, I use it when helping LDD builders for HFR!!! Live Sessions. Even if we don't use it for Minecraft, you should check it out seeing that you are in a tight group of LDD users, you could build with each other, as if your next to each other using the same computer. Figure that would be of some interest, if not, sorry about the waste of time. Also, I figured a lot of people have checked out the MOC, but I did post a massive amount of info and content, so people are taking time to comment, which is cool. |

I was actually planning on making a youtube video showing people around my house with me doing commentary, but that probably won't happen for a while, as I'm still working on the interior furnishings. And I did see your MOC, I just never got around to commenting on it. :) |

Hey Man. So what are the odds of seeing something new from you before I head back home next Saturday? |

Hey Man. So what are the odds of seeing something new from you before I head back home next Saturday? Hmm, well if you hadn't asked, the odds would be incredibly low, as I've been kinda sucked into Minecraft. But I've got some inspiration to build and upload a few things I've had for a while, so you can probably expect something relatively soon. Perhaps even today. :) |

I'm not a big fan of LDD mocs (only because they aren't real), but this is actually very good. I would love to see this in real Lego form. The gun is very good, and the color variations are great! Keep it up! - KP |

Nice robot but I am not thrilled about the head. I like the Apollo head more You're only the twentieth person to say that. :P |

Cool mini mecha--I really get a Front Mission vibe from them. |

not much I can add that hasn't already been said. The basic design is functional and highly poseable (just what you need for a mech) but lacks personality due to the spartan head design. considering it's function as a gunner, I may have been tempted to add a little something to suggest multiple targeting scanners. that said the colours do give it more umph than the basic white model did.
the weapon is fantastic (I'm seething as I just can't design good weapons) and the little touch of the weapons flare was funny and gave it that extra something that changed my mind about not commenting again (since it is basically the exact same frame really).
Overall. I'd love to see a less basic head design but beyond that I really can't see much I'd change.

I like your compact designs. They look very poseable/playable without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.
If you're buying your own bricks, I'd suggest looking through BrickLink. It can be significantly less expensive to buy parts if you take the time to find inexpensive vendors/bundle deals.
It really depends on what you find more convenient though; going to the LEGO store and picking your parts, or ordering them online and waiting for your package(s) to arrive. Well, considering there isn't a lego store within a hundred miles of us (I believe), ordering the bricks is a must. But thanks for the tip, I have looked at bricklink before, it was just so confusing I didn't decide to go much farther than face value. I'll have to look at it again, and see what all there is. :) |

Seeing That The Frame Is Generally The Same, I Still Hold What I Said On The Basic Frame's MOC Page. As For The New Material, The Gun Looks Appropriate Both In Terms Of Size And Function. My Only Issue Is With How You Choose To Store The Weapon, Is The Mech Able To Reach The Gun? If So, You May Want To Show The Mech Arming Itself. If Not, You May Want To Reconsider The Storage Placement. As For The Color Scheme, I Think It Suits The Gunner Variant, As A Matter Of Fact, I Used A Similar Color Scheme For My Urocyon's Gunner Variant. Though I Doubt You "Ripped" My Color Scheme Off, Seeing That The Images For That MOC Page Were Damaged During The Systems Failures, And The Page Has Been Recently Deleted. So, Overall, I Still Hold My Previous Comments, The Gun Looks Suitable, Though It's Storage Is Questionable. Hope This Helps. |

I'll be adding more varients with different armor frames, so hopefully you'll like that. :) |
