GI JOE Mauler M.B.T.
A big tan RC GI Joe Battle Tank, Yo Joe!
About this creation
Here is another GI Joe MOC based on the 80s toy line: the G.I. Joe Mauler M.B.T., the second motorized battle tank to be released in the 80s (I believe, I didn't have this one as a kid). For the GI Joe Purists I spent only a little time on getting details exact instead concentrating on the overall feel of the tank and its playability such as the hatches, turret articulation and mobility! This model is enhanced with Lego RC power functions so it can be driven remotely into battle. Great playability and fun! Yo Joe! Pls rate and comment.

Pls also see my video review click here !

Pls also join my new group for GI Joe MOCs click here and add your current Joe creations or get cracking and make some new ones to add.

Cheers and happy building!

This is pretty wicked. This tank just looks mean. I love the armor details and front hatches. Very awesome. If I have any (small) bones to pick it would be that your turret has a closed end. Also you might benefit from a little mini gun action on the front instead of the little lego rifle. However just small thoughts on a very cool build. This dominates any lego shelf. Well done.

And now we know ... and knowing is half the battle! LOL! I had the orginal MOBAT too! I would have built that first but my green brick supply is getting too low!
Quoting John Stahlman Awesome! I had the MOBAT (the original GI Joe MBT) as a kid but this one was cool too. The Mauler was actually based on the HSTV-L (High Survivability Test Vehicle-Light) of the late 70's and early '80s, not really a main battle tank (it was only armed with a 75mm gun) but most kids didn't know this. ;-)

Beautiful work! I had the green tank as a kid and I think this was the repainted 2nd version. The fact that's it's motorized is a nice added bonus.
