...Sigh, I can't seem to make anything decent anymore, I don't know what it is, it's not just my most recent posted creations, for quite a while now I haven't been able to make anything "good"
I can't finish my pirateships, everything seems to fail :5
On the other hand I'm doing very good at school at the moment, maybe there's a relation ?
After the contest I'm gonna sign off for a while, search for the true nature of the "brick" or something like that;
I'll hold out as long as I can in the MIT but I'm a really depressed builder at the moment...

I can t see any drop in quality, but, I guess it s possible that your creativity might be blocked by your need for logic thinking in you studies, also, I watched documentaries about the brain, at certain ages, our brain changes patterns for adulthood, maybe you re in transition, I m now 42, and can tell you that it snot as easy building as when I was 13! it used to come easier then! with your skills I m not affraid you ll do badly, maybe just a little harder. good luck sebeus! |

I feel exactly like this too. I just can't build anything that looks good anymore. :o( You'll see my MIT entry in a sec... and you'll agree with me :oP I'm also doing well in school, maybe there is a connection. |

Haha! Very funny! I also think my creations aren't as great as before. I haven't done much big vehicle crations this year as I did last year, I think it's because I don't have much building patience anymore and I don't want to cause a big mess of Lego. Well, just small creations will get my Lego collection in a big mess, I'm not very patient when looking after pieces in my boxes, so I just turn the whole box upside down. :P |

Maybe if you meet Leg GODt, he/she/it will teach you to have fun with LEGO. If you have any shooting bricks, there's a fun game that can help you with the problem too. |

Sorry to hear mate, well if a building vacation is what you need then hopefully you'll come back better off for it. Your builds have always been good, Templum Ignoti was not that long ago and it was epic. Like me, I've gone from Return of the Ancients to the Wisp Fighter in 6 months - so in a way I can relate. Untill I have made a creation really worth showing ;)
what I'm missing in my last creations is originality, feel, I don't know how to describe it well. Retreating from the online lego community for a while and reorganize my lego sorting system might solve my problems. No contests, no pressure, just plain old building with the brick, no need to show off anything, consider it a MOCer's vacation :P |
