Here is my entry for the 2011 MIT contest. Here is the link to my opponent Bob's homepage . My category was cubedude superhero. I built a scene in which Stupendous Man, a.k.a Calvin, from Calvin and Hobbes drops a snowball onto his neighbor Susie's head from a tree. The hardest part of this was building the tree and I still don't like how square the top half looks but it was the best I could do. In case you don't get it the grey stuff is the sidewalk, and I just thought I might explain that because both my mom and my sister thought it was a frozen river.
Here is a close up of the snowball splattering across the pavement as it hits Susie's head.
Mixing two completely different comic categories is a very unusual idea and brilliantly executed. Picture quality often depends more on the right lightening and not so much on the right camera. In this particular case, the lightening and picture quality serves the winter scene. Good work, Ben.
