Well here it is. The latest Gundam that I've been working on for a while now. I made a bit too much pictures so I won't comment them, but I'll give a little description on the MS it self. If you're wondering about the red mobile suit, it's a commander variant of my previous Corsair Ronin (with a pair of katanas!) I'll give more details and pics about it later. Oh and, this MS was inspired mainly by the Impulse, F91, Zeta gundams.
About this creation
UPDATE NOTE1:I rebuilt the flight pack from scratch and made a different color variant of the unit, new pics further down.

UPDATE NOTE2:Okay, since this is supposed to be the protagonist suit in my small story, I decided to raise the design to my current standard. It gets a new color scheme, new head, slightly changed armor design and the originally planned(but never finished due to lazyness xd)equipment packs.

Description:

The "Valor's Edge" is a third gen. assault mobile suit, developed by the federation after it's predecessor the "Valor" Gundam was defeated by the pirate clans "dark mobile suit", altough the pilot survived, the Valor was totally destroyed. The creators of the Valor had to start everything from scratch...but this time they produced a unit on par with the pirates MS. This MS has 3 times the power of the Valor and has a special frame that enables almost life-like movements and the new more powerful engines and array of thrusters improves the speed of the MS.

Equipment: 1x "Screamer MKII" Adv. Assault Beam Repeater
2x8 Cruise Missle (capable to take down a medium battleship)
2x "Gargoyle" Automated Beam Cannon
2x Beam Shield Generator (attached to arms)
2x Hand Mounted 125mm Machine gun
2x Beam Saber
1x "Airmaster" Flight Pack

UPDATE!!!

New color variant and new wings

Well hope you guys liked it! I'll do some more new units soon! Don't forget to rate and comment! Thanks!

Quoting Mike C You are a insane lego mecha mastermind. Looks anazing buddy. Top notch work, this would be the one for me if you had to pick one to produce would be the one. Great job
Thank you, I'm honored! Altough this thing was built with techniques that you might have seen before from other builders...I just simply mixed them and used the best ideas from each. I still give a lot of respect to Mithryl for the nice head design (I'm talking about the original head that I later modified for his 00 Gundam).

Quoting Winter Nis I permit myself to recomment since you have improved the wings (and they are too awesome for me so I'm forced to do it lol). Now it really has the look of a killer ;) Btw, I would to use your torso design( wich I find more clean than Mithryl ones) and head design in my current project. Even if I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind (because your generosity is amazing x) ), I just ask you in case, to be fixed. Thanks!
I approve! :) I want to see what you can come up with by using these building techniques. Well these units are a lot more smaller than Mithryl's builds and have less detail and poseability, however they are easier to build and are more playable. The head is still in experimental state because it's too hard to make it look different every time I use it in a MOC, I have some newer designs tough, but those are a bit bigger. I'll post them sometime, altough I'm not sure if I'll ever use them in a MOC...but who knows...

You say that your chests are supposed to be able to have a pilot in them, but there is a huge axle beam running top to bottom in the cavity. Is this piece necessary for the construction to hold together or is it just a placeholder? Also the cockpit hatches are rather too narrow to actually place a minifigure into it; intentional or not? Are they supposed to fit Lego minifigures, or is the scale supposed to be for a smaller figure?

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix The reason my builds' torsos seem less clean is that they have cockpits for minifigs in them. This complicates matters immensely, especially when it still has to be accurate AND have stability (i.e. internal structure) AND poseability, and have all the gimmicks and features of the actual model. Unless I can fulfill all of the above, I don't attempt the model. In any case, this is definitely your nicest work yet--very colorful. The rifle for this, is particularly nice. One thing for you to try and work on: hiding the ball joints on your models, particularly around the shoulders. Your models look great, so it kind of sucks, when things like exposed joints ruin all your hard work.
Yes, the ball joints...the biggest of my problems in a moc. I tried to hide them, but it's very hard to do without loosing the mobility of the shoulders, and also at this scale it's even harder to hide them.

The new wings look so much better! They suit the suit so well. Great work on the update. And my Project AEGAKS works is getting close to being completed, so keep your eyes peeled for a series of uploads. Once that's done, I'm definitely giving one of these a try. ^Blub^

Whoah man! this is excellant, it reminds me so much of the zz and even the victory a bit. Nice name choice by the way. Now I'll have to come up with another name for my project :P. Haha, keep up this quality building.

Quoting Winter Nis Splendid!! My only complaint is that the rear wings are a bit too thin. I think it's one of the model you should try to build in real pieces, if someday you are able to, because for me it's a masterpiece, for sure.
Thanks! The wings can be explained that this unit is mainly for outer space battles so the wings are only "extras" when it comes to a battle in the athmosphere. But I'll try to improve it someway. I'm very proud of this MOC myself. I've learned a lot from it(mainly how to make smaller but more detailed units)and it was a lot of fun to build it.

Quoting ccy 8086 I love this one's color which is much close to Gundam style. The rifle is also very eye catch. So is the bean shield from F91? Any else?
The color scheme was mostly inspired by the Zeta and the ZZ gundams(maybe a little from Sentinels too). At the beginning the whole thing looked like the Valor but with the new and longer legs and a winged backpack and I started to add stuff day by day...the end resault is this. What I used from F91 was the beam shield obviously and the idea of an extra shield stored on the skirt.(as you can see the left skirt holds the extra ammunition and the right one has the shield) nothing else came from F91 really, maybe the "size" of all the units, with microfigs I think it's about the same as the Mobile Suits from F91. The shape somehow reminded me of the Destiny Gundam, but I only noticed this after I finished it xd

Quoting Rabid Goldfish Do I see Katanas? Nice update. Looks good, but perhaps you could put the wings on a gimble? They seem to disappear from the design, since they're right against the back. That way they could angle back from the pack. Just a thought. And those 'Bandits' got my attention, that's for sure. Nicely done rifle too. I may have to file that design away for future inspiration. Well done, as usual! ^Blub^
Yes, yes those are katanas, but I'll tell more about those in my next MOC. It'll be a commander type and maybe a totally unique unit for one of the Pirate officers. The gun was inspired by the Nu Gundam's beam rifle. About the wings, I know what you mean, I'm still thinking about changing the wing a bit and maybe I'll do some add-ons for this unit like a bazooka or a different backpack.
