About this creation














My first large scale NXT truck. Uses pendular suspension front and rear, rear wheel drive. I wanted to build something adaptable so one NXT motor drives the steering, one drives the rear wheels and one is switchable between driving the PTO for the winch or also driving the rear wheels.

Normal drive will comfortably climb up to 30 degree slope but with the winch (worm drive, slow but powerful) can scale a 60 degree slope.

Having the canopy at the back gave plenty of space to hide the NXT motors, controll sensor and the NXT brick forms the back wall of the cab with a flip up roof to allow access to the front of the brick.

That's the whole Lego thing isn't it? You work with what you've got. But yes, bigger wheels would be better /:-)
