B-12 Eagle
This is the B-12 Eagle drop ship. Despite its bulkiness, it can still go a healthy .9 Mach, mostly because of its huge wing mounted engines. It has no offensive or defensive weapons beside its flares to ward off missiles so that it can carry more weight. Its maximum takeoff weight is 930,000 pounds, making it ideal to transport heavy equipment.
About this creation
I vow this to be my last un-photoboxed MOC I upload.

Just showing the front of the drop ship.

Along with two, wing mounted thrusters, the B-12 also has two rear engines to further stability and add a little more speed.

The pilot.

The big wing mounted engines

The loading ramp (pretend that it hits the ground)

A failed attempt to make it look like its in flight.

Huh, this pics a little blurry… OOPS.
Anyway here my drop ship is grounded.

Also this pic shows off my the ships adams apple very nicely, don't you think?

Quoting Nemesis ---> You cant trust sources like that, plus the osprey, and the dropship from that link are very different than the pelican in the fact that they have wings. I dont see a problem with VTOL as long as its not jet powered. And the fact conflict is set fifteen years in the furure is sortof a novely to the fact its not Earth, We are still only using what we have in this time, anything else must be approved. I already have a VTOL gunship called the skyhound, It wouldnt be a problem if it had rotors.
well crap, i was under the impression that this was ok, i didn't add armament to it because you said at one point or another that we could have somewhat of a prototype of future tech... The AAF saw this prototype as an opportunity to get supplies across large areas of land and sea very quickly, and just in time to get supplies and settlers over to Europe for their settlement goals. plus, there already is a VTOL jet aircraft, the Harrier Jump Jet, which is in use by the marines and has been in use since the 1980's. I'm just confused about all this.

This technology isn't that far off, in fact, the USMC already uses a type of drop ship called the V-22 Osprey: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-22_Osprey I dont think this tech is that far off. Plus, although it was delayed, Boeing is working on a jet powered drop ship for the Air Force, although it was re-classified: http://gizmodo.com/5015796/boeing-working-on-real+life-colonial-marines-dropship maybe the speed is a little too much but im sure this tech will exist within the next 5-10 years, right around the time conflict is set.

It looks great, but I have to agree with dread. Mach 3 is much faster than something like this could really fly. Right now, it is faster than most fighter jets in conflict! other than that, it good. 5/5

Its good but, a Pelican type dropship seems, a bit to advanced for conflict, not to mention an aircraft of that design wouldnt have enough lift to fly with the engines facing back, let along go mach 1. Do note that the pelican can fly because it has thrusters pionted down at all time, and could never fly faster than Mach 1 in atmosphere.
