I was going to write this fantastic little story about the last surviving member of a space ship crew being pursued by a relentless beast. The photos would show various parts of the ship as the narrator tries to escape from the beast. The second to last panel would reveal that the "beast" is actually Chris Phipson and the final shot was to reveal the narrator was actually the monster I built as part of the contest.
Then I decided to heck with it. I shoved Blockocop in a few of the pics just because, well, I did create him and can do whatever I want with him. Also, I don't like scary stuff, and I particularly regret ever watching Alien (I saw it in the theater when it was first released) because of the nightmares it caused.
So I'm taking my licks and calling it a good faith effort. Call it what you will, but the story would have been terrific if not for the fact that so many of you out there insist pictures alone tell a story. You're wrong, but you've got a right to an opinion.
Here's the pics, so make up your own story:
Good luck to Leda, and to all the other competitors, fans, and synchophants.
The clean, bright background instantly reminds me of typical 70s scifi movies, which is a brilliant desing idea and shows how old we both really are. Yes, the original story would have been nice and okay I guess. Your creature looks somehow like a space aligator (maybe working for a post office) and I'll hopefully see him again in one of your upcoming space pirate episodes.
Oh man, you let her win?! She wasn't kidding when she told me she has you WHIPPED!!!! But I hear that's a great thing to be with her. ;) Great job dude! It's a shame you didn't post the story as we'd all know yours would be a joke, while other tasteless posts from others on the pages are nothing more than diarrhea of the mouth, head, and soul.
Sorry, pal - but Leda's got my vote on this round. Now, I could do the childish, sexist, man-pig thing and start making fun of you for getting beat by a GIRL!...but then my wife beats me all the time, so hey...welcome to the club.
Quoting Leda Kat =^..^=
Best of luck. Its a shame we had to battle so soon in the games. If you win this round I will still love you and remember our time in Chicago.
And the same goes for me, my Kiwi friend! Yes, it is too bad we squared off this soon, but that's the games. I'm sure your entry will most intriquing, especially since you're a bit more of a scary suspense fan than I am. Yes, Chicago (and yummy asian food) will always keep us together!
That's one wicked looking monster-thingy.
The movie Alien wasn't too bad, although I did watch it when I was little so I'm with you on that. However I'm guessing you wouldn't like the Dead Space games, which is what the category reminds me of.
Madness! I just messaged you asking how your entry was going then I hop on the pages and see you posted it! Awesome work here mate. It was a hard category and well outside both our comfort zones, but I think you made a fantastic monster. Love his eyes mostly. The room is cool, some really nice greebles things there. I just recently learnt that word. I've finished taking my photos and mine should be up later tonight or tomorrow (NZ time). Best of luck. Its a shame we had to battle so soon in the games. If you win this round I will still love you and remember our time in Chicago.
