M.O. Round 2 - George G. vs Infomaniac
George G. vs Infomaniac in Round 2 of the MOColympics, building in the category "A house made of...". I have decided to build my house of wood, wood and more wood! It is of course an Elizabethan Terrace House, that is 3 stories high (excluding the attic floor) and packed full of rooms to play in! I have built it like a dolls house with no walls so you can access all of the play space. Enjoy!
About this creation
To begin with, here is the link to the lean, mean, building machine: (my worthy opponent) Infomaniac!

And here's the link to the lean, mean, oh wait, erm, yeah, the MOColympics homepage :)

Gentleman-Phipson: "Welcome dear chaps to my wonderful manor, which I share with my dear friends Gentleman-Matt David and Gentleman-Xenomurphy. Come on in!"

I had to pick at my nose for A LONG time to get this much SNOT! I love toilet jokes....
But seriously, I spent most of the time working on the front.

Here is the image of the rooms on the left-side:
Ground floor, going from left to right: 1) The entrance. 2) The study. 3) The kitchen.
1st floor, going from left to right: 1) The dining room. 2) Gentleman-Xenomurphy's bedroom. 3) The "passing through" room (it has a staircase, a fire, and set of drawers :P).
2nd floor, going from left to right: 1) Gentleman Matt-David's room. 2) The hallway. 3) The garderobe (that's a toilet to you non-gentleman folk).

Here is an image of the back:
Ground floor: 1)Kitchen.
1st floor: 1) The "passing through" room.
2nd floor: 1) The garderobe. 2) The hallway.

Here is the image of the rooms on the right-side:
Ground floor, going from left to right: 1) The kitchen. 2)The staircase (no, the dog's not dead, it sleeping :P). 3) The entrance.
1st floor, going from left to right: 1) The "passing through" room. 2) The hallway. 3) The dining room.
2nd floor, going from left to right: 1) The garderobe. 2) Gentleman-Phipson's room (gotta' love the 4-poster bed!)

Gentleman-Phipson: "Oh darn it! A mass break-out from Azkaban! I hate reading the LEGO Harry Potter newspaper...."

And to finish, here's a shot of the roof. Who's that standing on the top? It's Gentleman-Matt David and Gentleman Xenomurphy!

I hope that you enjoyed my entry and good luck to all the competitors!

Thanks for your comment on my McLaren George! It's my favourite too and i don't think i could ever bring myself to take it apart. That's why i have upgraded it. Hopefully Nick, Joe, Ape and I will be displaying our vehicles at the STEAM show this year so we'll be a lot harder to miss if you go. I wonder...would like to build something classic race team related and join us, i've got lots of ideas of things to build if you want? We'd love to have you on board and I'm sure your building skills are good enough! Also this is my favourite of your MO entries. Well done for getting so far, it was well deserved. Did you get a prize? Happy New Year!

Lovely job - colours, construction, details, all great! I love the narrow facade and 'deep' multi-level home - very accurate. I also love the accuracy of having the wenches in the kitchen! Good luck as you progress.

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy Looks like you did a lot of research, the facade and the timber framing looks almost identical to the ones of the most houses in my street. The predominant wooden interior fits very well and shows how much work you had put into this MOC. The level of details pay off - you got my vote for this entry (although my gentleman-fig got the only bedroom with no fireplace).
...but your heart is so warm it heats the whole room up :P Thank you very much, I did indeed spend a lot of time building this (I even pulled 2 very-late-nighters).

A quality entry, you captured the look quite nicely. BTW, stucco is a mortar mixture that is used for siding and is what the tan or white portions are in this type of architecture. It covers the gaps in the wood and creates insulation. I hope that was helpful. Anyway, good luck with the judges!~H

Quoting DeTomaso Pantera Excellent house! it looks more Tudor than Elizabethan but hey it's still a brilliant house! Good job, good luck :)
Tudor houses had diagonal beams whereas Elizabethan one's only had horizontal and vertical ones :) I might not be right but that's what I found after looking at some images....
