This is great Lee! I have now been able to comment on my favorite builder's and others people's mocs. Now to Orthanc! Amazing! I love the detail! The top is great, with the spikes sticking out of the top! I am beginning to try to make LOTR mocs, but right now I am in a NERF era.

Accuracy: Undersized, but good. 20/30 Minifigs: Faces and Sarumans staff could use work. 15/20 Originality: Like Mark said, great! 10/10 Creativity: Good spikes, snotting looks good, I think it would look better if thinner. 30/35 Pics: Some blurry but great angles. 3/5 Overall: 78/100

Accuracy: Very good but undersized even for reasonable standards: 20/30 Minifigs: The staffs could use some work and the CW faces don't cut it.: 10/20 Originality: Very good now make it bigger!: 10/10 Creativity: you did well and the SNOTing looks good, I really like your spikes: 30/35 Photos: A few blurry ones but not bad.: 3/5 Total: 73/100

ACCURACY TO BOOK OR MOVIE - 23/30 It could have a few more details MINIFIGS - Great torsos and capes, but the brickforge staff is not the best choice and so do the TCW heads - 15/20 ORIGINALITY - I agree with Chris: By far the biggest entry!! 10/10 CREATIVITY/TECHNIQUE - 28/35 PICTURE QUALITY - Some of them are a little bit to blurry, and the light is not the best, but the camera perspectives are well chosen. Some of the scenes look excactly like in the movies! - 4/5 All in all: 80/100

Great work, Lee. Your score is as follows:(ACCURACY TO BOOK OR MOVIE) - I really like the black rotational look, and the spikes at the top are epic. The balcony and stairs are cool. Yes it is a little squat but it is so tall and thin you did the best you could: 21/30; (MINIFIGS) - Saruman is epic, but the clone wars faces are too animated for LOTR. They make the eyes look big and bulgy, but Gandalf's staff is cool: 14/20; (ORIGINALITY) -Really a good idea. No one else did it in full scale: 10/10!; (CREATIVITY/TECHNIQUE) - I like the rockwork and snot techniques for the walls. The work could be a bit less 'studless', but you had a lot of space to cover so I understand: 30/35; (PICTURE QUALITY) - Good pics, but a little dark and blurry. But good angles: 3/5; TOTAL: 78/100! Good job!

Good. The Tower could be taller and thinner, but it is hard, so don't worry to much. The heads on the minifigs could use some work, but otherwise this is great. Oh, and for the link, it can't be in the introduction.

Quoting Christopher Baldacci Hey Lee, for the link to work you need a space between the '>' and the word 'the' in your HTML. You can go into 'edit' and fix it. By the way, 'Great is spelled' 'g-r-E-A-T'. :D Great tower!
this is really weird it works in the sample but not on the page go figure.

I'm sorry too I was a little offensive. I understand your defensiveness and I will say that it is almost impossible (For most people) to build an Orthanc that tall. I am building one and it is very, very big but it is still not going to be as tall as it should. Anyway I still think you did a great job. ~Mark

Quoting Matthew Murphy (This is Mark) This is very good I really like the grey beard on Saruman, but you have a few problems. First, the heads on eachvof your minifigs are not good, try something else. Second I like your snoting but the spikes on top are disporportional with the rest of the tower. Finally this is waaaaay undersized the tower of Orthanc is 500 feet tall. Treebeard is 15 feet tall. That makes Orthanc roughly 52 times as tall as treebeard, and if Treebeard is roughly 3 times as tall as a human (Or minifig) the tower should be 156 times as tall as a minigifure.
well why don't you try building a orthanc 156 times the size of a mini fig. do you think you have enough black bricks? and secundly i like the heads on my mini figs. also i wont except your secund coment until you come up whith a beter design.

Wow this is AMAZING! I was going to build Orthanc but I changed my mind after seeing this! Although I agree with Christopher the inside could have a little more detail. Other than that great build! Love the figs :)

AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! That is the best thing you've ever built!!! I love the chaos of the rocks, and then the sheer perfection of the tower. The contrast is really nice. That aside, the minifigs are stellar as well. Great work! I know how much you put into this. Good luck in the contest! My entry will be coming soon.

Super cool entry Lee! I really like the top of the tower. Its really to scale. The little balcony is cool and the palantir is sweet. I actually like Saruman with the gray beard. The staff is sweet too. If I had one suggestion it would be to maybe add some detail to the inside, maybe a throne or something. But this is a great entry. Keep it up! I hope to see more big LOTR mocs from you in the future!
