For generations, the Capitol has been ruled over proudly by the Republic. It was a great thriving and growing city, unlike no other...
...That is until president Skide took over.
President Skide was said to be a sith. He was greedy, selfish, and cruel. He forced all of the Capitol's population to work at several slave mines, and disconnected all connections from the Republic, and cutting off trade with other planets. He drove the city into chaos. Then, declaring himself Emperor, he sent assassins to kill all the members in the planet's government, thus taking full control.
Now, the Capitol and planet is heavily depopulated, it's citizens turned into slaves. The capitol was weakened, but President Skide didn't care. The Republic took this moment to attack, launching a full scale invasion...
...At first, Republic forces met no enemy resistance, and dispatched several Spitfires into the atmosphere...
But then, just when things were going so well, the city's Separatist defenses fought back. Over four-fifth of all the Republic forces deployed were destroyed, by traps planted in the deserted city, or by heavy-anti aircraft cannons. The remaining one-fifth crashed into the city ruins, and were never heard of again.
