The short-lived Plymouth Road Runner Superbird was a highly modified version of the Plymouth Road Runner with well known graphics and horn. It was the factory's follow up stock car racing design for the 1970 season to the Dodge Charger Daytona of 1969, and incorporated many engineering changes and modifications (both minor and major) garnered from the Daytona's season in competition on the track. Richard Lee Petty is a former NASCAR driver who raced in the Strictly Stock/Grand National Era and the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. "The King", as he is nicknamed, is most well known for winning the NASCAR Championship seven times. This is probably his most famous car, and the car in which Petty is cast in the 2006 Pixar film Cars.
The only colors I've ever seen him driving, whether it be pictures or video clips, were those famous Petty Blues and white, sometimes a little red. When the Superbird came out, King Richard only drove in Petty Blue.
