My entry to the HEartlights FTW!!! contest. I had to build a matoran, toa and turaga form all of the same entity, so here he is: Measla, Toa of Earth.
About this creation
Measla started out as a guttersnipe Matoran. Since he had no family or friends, he decided that the only person he would live for was himself, and so he trained himself to peak physical condition in the case he would ever have to fight for his own life. Eventually, he became a mercenary, fighting for whoever paid him the most. After learning of his destiny and receiving his Toa stone, he instantly used it to transform since he knew it would make him stronger. Because he grew up alone, he is not too close with the rest of his Toa group, and often wanders off alone. However, he is always the quickest to help out someone in need, since he too was once weak. His past weakness makes him strive to achieve his only goal: to be the strongest he can be. His sentiment to his past life also leads him to fight with the same sword he used to train and as a mercenary. After becoming a Turaga, he spent most of his time meditating and reflecting on the choices he had made in his life. He still does enjoy a good battle, though.
This is the most thought-out character I have created so far, hope the backstory makes you like him more. Anyways, on to the MOC! I won't write about the pictures, but it should be self evident which of the three life sages he is in.

Cool! My only complaint is that he had the same mask in every form. A change at least in his toa form would be nice. But that's just me. Others might disagree. |
