Nola FR-11
Right now I'm building working on a car, but I'm kind of stuck...there's something that just doesn't look right. So I built this fictional 2011 Formula One car. Sometimes building a fun car gives me ideas on how to build other cars.
About this creation
This is just a car that I made up. "FR" stands for "Formula One Racing" and "11" stands for the 2011 Formula One Season. You can view more pictures here.

The overall view of the car.

The Nola pit crew is working on it.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Hi. I will get back to you in more detail asap but I'm at work at the moment. My fav wheels are the ones that come on the 1:10 technic Ferrari models and 8070. Are you aware of peeron.com ? It's a great site - type the set number and it gives you a full breakdown of parts and sizes etc. It is also linked to BRick link. I use it all the time when deciding which discontinued set to buy. I do use BL but I prefer to buy full sets if I can get them cheap.
I never heard of peeron.com. I appreciate you helping me out. If I buy big tires, I think I'll try to build one of Senna's McLarens. I'm trying to figure which tires go with which ones too. :)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . I was really pleased to see that you added my as a fav. I added you a while back :).
Sorry I didn't add you earlier. I think the reason why I didn't add you and DeTomaso earlier was because I originally was only adding the "master builders." ;)

Hi LBJ. Another very nice moc. I agree with RH - they are called side pods by the way. Glad you like my 'small' collection and I was really pleased to see that you added my as a fav. I added you a while back :).

It does look rather Christmas-y. Maybe a Santa figgy with racing helmet should go with it. =P I really like the shaping and especially the spoiler and side... "pods". Not sure what they call 'em.

Quoting DeTomaso Pantera I think there's a saying, "Red and green should never be seen" (or is it blue and green)?
What about Christmas? It's usually red and green.

This is cool, I feel the colours don't really work, I think there's a saying, "Red and green should never be seen" (or is it blue and green)? Anyway I agree vwith Nick, change the red to maybe yellow or dk grey? If you can be bothered of course. I also think you should put thicker tread on the rear wheels, they're too low profile. I like the shape just not the colour combo. Keep at it, you're doing a good job :)

Quoting Nick Barrett Nicely done. I'd change the red to silver, but that's just personal preference... ;-)
I'd do that too, but I don't have that much silver...donation anyone? :)
