About this creation
Springtime in the Sonoran Desert can be very beautiful, but when tempers flare, it can also be deadly!

Beautiful moc and photography. Spaghetti western style :). The amount of detail is perfect, even down to the beams sticking out of the wall. Love the cactus and ground. The poses are also very subtle but say a lot. Thanks for your comments on my stuff. I was toying with the single photo with my R2 entry but I chickened out. I await your R2 entry with anticipation. |

I take great offense at your belittling the Comic Book format! I prefer the term Graphic Novel! I'm joking, and don't call me Shirley. Okay, nicely done here with the composition and lighting. Congrats, Dude! But seriously, watch it... |

I like the lightening in this MOC. The slightly overexposed part really gives the impression of a hot day in Mexico. Very nice. |

Actually there's a couple entries for a couple contests where I did the same. As for the booze....one shot all week long baby! I'm taking a month off from drinking. Bleh.
A month? Holy cow! Did you lose a bet or something? As for the one shot thing, I'm all about fire and forget. A picture is really worth a thousand words. Somehow the MOCpages community came to expect a 'comic book' style of presentation of creations. Every picture having a minifig moved slightly, telling a new part of the story with no room for action or imagination. |

Ah, the ol' Marine motto....."One shot, one kill". Interesting set-up. Not sure it should be hung in the best Mexican food join in Phoenix.....but maybe the best roach coach? LMFAO I kid, I kid.
Seriously though Heath, when is the last time you limited yourself to only ONE shot. Especially when the tequila is flowing?

Lovely creation! Clever use of the vivid colors! :)
Thank you! The color was a tough one actually. Combining color is sometimes a bit tricky, if you don't do it just right, it looks like vomited fruity pebbles. That is probably why you often see only a select few colors represented in any specific build. This one, I believe, has 18 different colors in it by my count ...20 if you count trans clear and trans black. I think I took a bit of a walk on the wild side here (as far as color goes) but it seemed to work well. Thanks again! |

Like the one shot approach, like's been said, it really adds to the tension of the scene. I'm vaguely reminded of this one bit in The Crossing, but maybe that's just 'cause I was re-reading it recently. |

the single picture leaves one wanting more.
That is the point my friend. Say little and leave the audience hanging, it tends to draw people in more. The build is far more complex and specific if you build only for one shot ...EVERYTHING is intentional and well thought out. You don't often see a series of paintings depicting a single story (those are called comics), the artist can capture mood and action in one shot. The picture tells a story, I prefer to allow my viewer to write it. Thanks! |
