SIEGE MECH It weighs about 30 lbs. Feel free to ask me any questions about how I build this or that. I have most things in an LDD draft. Thats how I build first.

Quoting Zane Houston Wow. This is an awesome mech! I haven't seen a good one like this in a very long time (granted I haven't spent much time on mocpages lately). It definitely reminds me of BK's FOUNDATION, but has a nice bulkiness to the weapons. Great work!
I'm a fan of yours on Flickr! I would love to know how you built the Dusk Dragon.

That is quite the mech, a rare case of quantity over quality xD Not to say that the quality is nothing less than marvelous but I think it's sheer size is quite intimidating. Good work :)

Quoting Master Shifu Leo J Wicked!
I like the shifu in front of your name!!! As I say sifu with my Cantonese background. I cant see your photos except your new fighter. Awesome details! I still cant figure out exactly what color it is. Tricky!

Quoting Shawn Purkis It look pretty solid, but that's going to weigh a lot. How well does it stay together and was weight ever a problem during the build? I always have trouble with weight and pose-able joints not being strong enough especially on mechs.
Its a bit under 30 lbs. I designed it as long as gravity pulls towards the center of the world, it will stay together. My prototype with a weaker frame holds together even till this day and its been like 7 months. I build everything with technic frames and use bracket and axle locks to hold everything together. Yea, you need to get away from those joints and use gears if you want to build big.

Quoting Gab BOIDOT INCREDIBLE WORK ! Seems no one ask how long does it took to make one HUGE mech like the BEIJING ? I ask this, cause I'm actually building an one year project mech (High Macs III).. Maybe my mech will defeat yours (including the rosa NANJING ) on a battle field.. One is sure : as already said, those mechs deserve more pictures ! See U. Are U allowing me to add you as one of my FB ? Bye
The red one took um 7 months... the grey one took 2 weeks? I have most of the instructions in LDD format thats why it was a matter of following instructions. Which I have no problem sharing. Whats FB? :D

Quoting Rabid Goldfish Now that's a monster! I would not even want to face that thing with a squad, nevermind alone. In terms of specs, how fast is it? Does it have a pilot, or maybe more? I see the rocket/missile launchers and the two primary guns, what kind of weapons are they? What's its top speed, and how much armor does it mount? Sorry, don't mind me, I love to know specs about things. ^Blub^
It has a cockpit that sits a pilot and a gunner. The middle of the top has this plate you may see it open upward. I modeled the two guns after a plasma cannon I saw on a blog. I wasnt going to do this but I'll give it a try -Role: Siege -Crew: pilot, gunner -Armament: PRIMARY 2 x Siege plasma cannons DEFENSE 40 x Smart missiles tubes -Power Source: Fusion (self destructible) Armor: Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane, Armor Hardeners :) :) :)

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo Everything was said about this masterpiece, but i need to say: WOAH! Massive! That being said, the overall details are pretty awesome, specially the guns and the cockpit. The bulkiness really fit in this mech, but I'd try longer legs or with more joint points. But that's me. Like RGF said I wish my AEGAKS never face one of these monsters...
There are actually like three joints in each legs just two of them (between thigh and leg) are sort of ridiculously covered and can only be seen from the back. There is another single joint that connects the thigh to the pelvis which angles the two legs open. Any longer the legs would look out of proportion in person, i tend to take pictures tilted up or down which kind of messes with the height. I made it stubby and fat to look like a mechwarrior from battletech. The hardest part about this build was connecting 30 lbs of plastic together at a core to stand on two feet, and i tend to build in all different directions with no studs exposed. Unfortunately for me I only had 1 year of lego experience so i lacked certain techniques so i came up with my own, like real world engineers i tend to build frames first but with lego technic. :D This is starting to become a disclosure lol

Thanks The ED-209 legs were considered for this model but I was too exhausted to figure out how to do it on a massive level.

That's an amazing build. Huge, beastly, bulky, a real bulldog. But at the same time, oddly, kinda cute. Something about its proportions makes it look almost like an enormous chibi. But really, that is an awesome mech. You should give it a few more pics, and maybe a bit of narrative. This one deserves it.
