Two Space Ninjas battle it out in an exotic locale -- what more could anyone want?
About this creation
Ever have a great idea only to find out later that someone has beaten you to it? It came to me as if breathed into my ear by a choir of angels: "Space Ninjas... Space Ninjas... Space Ninjas!" After the dazzlement at my own wondrous creativity wore off, I figured it was simply too cool a concept -- surely someone had tried it before?
Unfortunately, I was right. A search for "space ninja" on MOCpages turned up several creations by Linus Bohman. Oh, well. I would have preferred to be original, but what are you gonna do? And to show I'm not interested in starting a Space Ninja turf war, check out his page (after mine, of course). There's some good stuff over there: Odds and Ends
Anyway, my Space Ninjas might be robots, or aliens, or both, or neither. I have no idea. They just fight each other, endlessly, for reasons that may not even be clear to them anymore. Make up your own backstory, or think of it like Spy vs. Spy without the chuckles.
This MOCpage has been modified from its original version: It has undergone a long-overdue and much-needed renovation in the wake of the Great Brickshelf Brouhaha of '07 -- all the pictures that were once available only on Brickshelf are now here where they should be.
AWESOMENESS! i love the lava, and the entire scene is very very cool, great bridge. your space ninjas are almost what my sigfig (the CyborgNinja) will be, except that i definatly made up my sigfig before i saw this, so don't think i was copying you. great landscape, it looks like an epic battle.

What is the brickshelf brouhaha of 07?
http://www.brickshelf.com/ used to be where the pictures on MOCpages were hosted. Brickshelf's owner decided to shut down without warning in the summer of 2007. He later brought it back but it threw everyone into a panic. After that, Sean Kenney took it upon himself to upgrade MOCpages and host the images here so people would know they'd be safe. A lot of Brickshelf refugees also fled to http://www.flickr.com/ as a result.
I enjoy the merger of castle type themes with space / sci-fi. As you have done you get to build the classic/ancient buildings with flame torches and chains etc and then add in a wide range of characters eg that fight up walls plus hi-tech detail such as switch panels to open doors. Excellent creation...5/5. Also GREAT clear photos...nice work.
I knew someone would make the inevitable comparison to Episode 3, but I would not insult the sheer awesomeness of a pair of space-ninjas fighting on a bridge over an open lava pit by comparing it to that laughable movie. This is way too cool for that. Great job!
