My Round 1 MocOlympics entry. It's a bit simple and small, so I think I have about a 50/50 chance of making Round 2.
About this creation
This past spring, Joe the Hobo decided to be an explorer. So he grabbed his dad's old professional camera, donned a cheap Explorer suit, and headed into the wild jungles of the public park. Finding nothing at first, a rabbit springs right in front of Joe! Thinking quickly, Joe snaps a picture of the bunny in mid air!! But during this amazing shot, Joe realizes that he forgot to remove the lens cap! Joe stopped an hour later to scrape some cash together for dinner.

The entire scene.

The rabbit and the flowers. The bunny I'm pretty happy with, and those flowers are also one of my favorite parts of the scene!

The stupid short tree. I guess it's pretty young. And what are those red studs? Apples? Cherries? Whatever floats your boat?

Scene without figures. So happy it's studless!

Another look at the Pidgey in the tree.

The figures. Pointing young boy, his mother, Joe the Hobo, Unshaven businessman, and of course, the rabbit who springs! That's all folks!
Please comment and rate if you like it! :D

Nice vig, and in keeping with the category. Nothing says Spring like a bunny! Could have done more with the tree, and I agree with Dave, would have been more dramatic with the single fig. But well done, and keep at it! |

Callan, Nice idea for spring. I think going small was a great idea. You might have a few too many minifigs for the size. Keep in mind, another way to go studless is using bricks on their sides. When building small, every little detail and element used counts; think very carefully and make sure the things you're creating REALLY look like what they are meant to. Thank you for sharing your take on the categories. ~Dave
Thanks so much for that. As I look at my entry again, I do see many things I could have changed that would've boosted my score. I greatly appreciate that you took the time to give me some advice on this despite the fact that there are 154 other entries in which the majority were much better then this. Again, thank you very much. :) |

Ha! I knew I saw a pidgey! Those red things in the tree are Pokeballs from people who have tried to catch the pidgey and got them stuck in the tree. |

Berial, is there any way you and I can have a talk? I've been kinda hurt from your remark in Shadow Toa's "thinking about leaving" page and I would like to solve this problem rather then leave it lingering.
Indeed there is.You can add me on MSN if you have one, mine is stephano_calzavara@hotmail.com
Or you can either create a group so we can chat in private. It's your call. |

Why does the tree not have a barrel in it in some of the shots?
XD I was gonna make the whole tree barrels, but I couldn't find anymore, so I switched back to the other ones. But I forgot to as I was taking the pictures, and I switched in the middle of the Photo shoot! XD I am MUCH less professional then yourself! ;) |
