CS-L50 Albatross Heavy Lifter and A7-N1 Ravager Mech
Dramatically shortening the life expectancy of those who challenge the Metal Legion.
About this creation
With the Albatross I was going for a militaristic version of what could be an Erickson Sky-Crane of the future. A VTOL designed specifically for lifting heavy loads with armor, weapons, and crew compartment tacked on as extras.

Because of the angle of the wings the engines rotate on two different axis. This was a paint to find a system that would be small and discrete, but strong enough to hold the engines on the wings. It turned out weaker then I would have liked, but they stay together if your not too rough with it.

It has enough room to carry an entire squad and plenty of equipment so that insertion of personnel and machinery can be done without the need of multiple landing craft.

Nice close up of the bunker buster cannon designed to penetrate almost anything. Below it we have the Gatling grenade launcher. It can be outfitted with multiple different grenade types depending on the objective from non-lethal riot control tear gas to rounds that don't exactly leave people in one piece.

Missiles mainly used for anti-air.

Big heavily armored feet, not just good for long strolls in the park anymore.

I couldn't get a good picture of this, but in the dark shadowy area next to the cockpit there are rocket pods on both sides with 4 rockets each. These aren't guided so chaff is useless.

Sorry about the awkward pictures at the end, but I don't have some fancy rig to show how the Albatross carries the Ravager. I'm still not really happy with the claw/landing gear on the carrier, but it works and that was the main goal.

This was my project for the summer and I will be going back to college in a few weeks so any new MOCs from me will be few and far between for a while. (not that they aren't already)

I hope to write more on this later, I cant think of much right now and it's hard to tell which picture your writing about with this many and just looking at the HTML.

Thanks for looking. Leave a comment and/or criticism.

Nice combo of builds! That mech is built like a tank, looks great. What caught my eye was the staggered plates with a bit of colour on either side of the cockpit, and great choice of windscreen, I too like it on mechs. Nice job all around!

Great work! I built something like this a while back, though not quite so angular and awesome as your take. Dropships are great for playability. I dig the contrast between the long, skinny stork legs and the curved beetle body; gives it great character.

You are right about the hooves, but it turned out great. You have inspired me to build a similar landing craft but on a larger scale. Thinking like cargo/combat transport.

Quoting El Barto ! Yo! Those turned out really well, but especially that mech! The leg proportions, I think, are what's key. Excellent design!
Thanks Barto, It's good to get multiple opinions. Some are saying they're too thin and some agree they're just right. I kept them thin because I liked the lighter look.

Quoting Ced The Clever Man, the shaping on the mech is VERY appealing. To me, you really can't get more perfect than that, seriously. You probably have better things to do with school and all, but if it gets build instructions let me know. I'd love to make a few of them. Later dude.
I got some time before school starts up I'll see if I can get some instructions worked up for everyone. I would love to see what you can do with it. I appreciate the comment.

Quoting Cody G I'm not sure how much I like the thin legs of the mech, but man, are those feet stompalicious! That's all you need for a mech right there, lots of weaponry and huge feet.
The feet did turn out much better then expected. Originally I wanted a bird footed look, but when I started to armor the ankle joints they turned into hooves.
