The Cavalier LAV was designed for service with the Royal Marines. The concept was that it would be an amphibious vehicle capable of carrying some troops over water; while at the same time being able to provide ample support. Currently there are two variants of the vehicle, the base and MGS variants, and others will soon be designed as well. The base variant is armed with a 25 mm auto-cannon, a 50 cal. coaxial machine gun, and a launcher capable of holding two laser guided ATGMs. The vehicle itself, as aforementioned, is amphibious and uses an eight wheel system. It has a crew of three (driver, gunner, and commander) and can carry 6 troops in the rear. The MGS variant on the other hand is armed with a 105 mm gun and a 50 cal. remotely operated machine gun. This variant has the same chassis as the base model, but lacks the ability to carry troops.
