8829 - Motorcycle MOD - Moto Guzzi Café Racer
Based on Lego 8829-1 Dune Blaster alternative built with the front of set 8422
About this creation
Hello!
The base model of this "creation" is alternative construction of Lego 8829-1 Dune Blaster.
I´ve noticed when constructing it that I don´t have all the pieces so I have to improvise.. Therefore the engine is in Black, etc..
The suspension fork is my own creation that I´ve built for another bike (an bobber) that unfortunately I´ve dismantled without taking pictures of it...
The bike is not finished and the front fork suspension is to be changed... to look more like a Cafe racer style bike..
I´ll post new pics when its done..
Sugestions and comments are welcome! ;)

Where´s a pic with other bikes:

Where´s a pic from the original:

I didn´t like the front suspension and I wanted to make it more racing/cafe racer style, so I´ve literally copied the front of the 8422 set, but with a wider screen.

A racing turtle! :D ahhahaah

Hope you guys like the exaust system (i think it turned very cool)

The front part of the exhaust system 2x1x2 the two pipes united in one under the bike in the catalyzer with a red spoiler...

Moto Guzzi café racer! :D

New modification! i´ve changed the back wheel... tell me what you think! ;)

Quoting Daniel Wareing I had this model 8829 when it first came out and I found the alternative model of the motorbike very disappointing - your version is a vast improvement on the original instructions - well done indeed
Thank You Daniel! I appreciate your comment! Yesterday I changed the back wheel for a thiner one (= to the front) and it looks almost like the 8422 :D we should do a race between your´s and mine! lolo

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Great job. A few more pics would be nice. The forks are a clever design. Front suspension on some of the official sets are not that great but your design looks nice and strong. I also collect the big technic bikes, I love them. My fav is 8420, if you haven't got this set yet I strongly advise you get a second hand one from eBay - the rear suspension spring is awesome. I am planning a bike moc soon :).
Thank you! I don´t have the 8420 :( it´s on my wanted list! Maybe it´s the best Technic bike, but the 8051 it´s really great too.. I´ll try to buy it on bricklink (or ebay) thanks ;) You can see my Lego sets in my main page here in MocPages, i´ve putted a link to it. The front suspension has in other bike (an bobber). I will put more photos soon. Thanks
