Well, this is it… The first round… Let’s see if I don’t get kicked out already… I proudly present: The cycle of human life!
About this creation
My category is: Earth
The cycle of Human Life is like a year on earth… It's divided into four seasons.
First there’s spring: Spring stands for new life, harmlessness and love. Spring represents birth.

A young mother, seeing her child for the first time.

Backside of the hospital.
Then there’s summer: Summer stands for life, bloom and development. Summer represents young adulthood.

A young dad playing with his son… The garden is full of flowers…

The young mother watching her son and husband play from the window. (No, she is not doing the dishes...)
After summer, comes autumn: Autumn stands for harmony, wisdom and aging. Autumn represents the old days.

An old man relaxing in his chair, rethinking his life.

The retirement home, a nice old house with a garden.
And finally there’s winter: Winter stands for silence, cold and the end, but also peace. Winter represents death.

A young man visiting his fathers’ grave, bringing him flowers…

The gravestone…
BONUS PICS

Front overview.

Backside overview.

Old house design… Lame…
Fourth Brick Commentary:
Actually this falls into most of the categories, but I chose earth because it is all about life on earth.
It didn’t take long to build. I got inspired by the pain killers I took yesterday…
I hope you like it (especially the judges), feel free to comment, praise or smack: It’s your choice!
Hope I’ll see you in round 2!!!

Thanks for your review Dave! I got to admit, I spent only 2 hours or so in making this MOC... I thought it would be a lot easier to pass onto R2.
In the MIT, I'll give it ALL, you'll see! |

Jelle, I really like the direction you chose. The idea had a lot of potential. I would have liked to have seen more consistency across the different scenes with the same characters or similar elements being repeated. Remember, you don't have to have all four scenes in the same shot. Thank you for sharing your take on the categories. ~Dave |

Great work. I got blasted for not staying in Category and only was scored 18. I didn't even make it to the MIT. I will be rooting for you there! |

Your total score for Round one was 31. Unfortunately, that doesn't give you enough points to move on. BUT, you do qualify for the MIT competition. To compete there, follow this link: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/18342 and good luck!
Thanks! 31 points make me happy enough :p |

Very Creative and "out side the Box"! Seasons of Life! I like that I have not seen anything like it yet. Thank you for the kind comments on mine and suggestion. I didn't think I wanted to enter but decided last night at 11:30 to start (I went to bed at 3:30AM). I thought about the rules as I was lying in bed but was too tired to do anything. I made the changes and hopefully it will meet the requirements. |

OK, really nice sets here, and a great idea. I might differ with you on the seasons a bit (Autumn is middle age and Winter is old age and Death) but that is because I am older than you and refuse to be called an autumn. Best of luck in the contest! |
