Volkswagen Beetle Race Car
A fun little MOC that I built recently.
About this creation
As many of you might have have noticed, a lot of my MOCs are Italian supercars, but as you can see, that's not what you're looking at. I built this old Beetle with modern racing technology. Unlike my other MOCs, this one has a wheel track of 15 studs and a cabin width of 11 studs. You can view the pictures in the slide show here.

The side.

The rear.

Opening Parts

The suicide doors can open.

The "trunk" is open.

Quoting Ti Pi Really cool, I love the race car part. Interesting how the wheels barely touch the ground. What are those tires and where did you get them?
I got those wheel and tires from eBay, but they can also be found on Bricklink.

Quoting Senator Chincilla Cool, but I agree the wheels should at least touch the ground.
Quoting Ricky C. the car is cool but i agree with austin the wheels should be the 43.2x22 zr (this http://www.stein-imperium.com/images/product_images/popup_images/1459_0.jpg) anyway awesome car! ;)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . The engine is awesome on this moc :). OK I have researched the wheels. The first store - Drobin has the best selection of larger wheels. Check out part number: 41896 (rim) and 41897 (tyre). These wheels are the ones I use on my large cars (Bugatti, Cobra and Corvette), they are bigger than any I have seen on your mocs. Drobin also has some even larger rims: 44772. These are used on Lego's Technic 1:10 scale Ferraris (and the new 8070). But unfortunately neither store has the corresponding tyres - 44771. The rims look extremely similar so be careful when ordering. These are by no means the biggest wheels lego do, but are the biggest the two stores have in stock. Hope this helps. Dont spend too much :)
That was WEIRD! After I commented on your Corvette, I went back to my homepage, and I saw that you commented. :) I'll go with the wheels and tires that you used for you Corvette.

Nice work. Not only did you capture the shape and feel of the bug, but the added detailing and functionality really makes this a terrific creation. Well done!

Cool, but I agree that the wheels should at least touch the ground. Not necessarily roll, since most of these cars just sit and look cool. The engine bits, shape, and details are all very good, though!

Quoting T.K . wow! How do you do the slide show?
I used Picaso (Google), so if you have a Gmail account, you can set up a Picaso account. Then you add pics to Picaso then there's a HTML code for a slide show. Hope this helps!
