SG Invades the South Coast...
This is a tale of courage, a tale of adventure, a tale of eipicness. This is the tale of when the Space Gypsy landed in Dorset, England.
About this creation
This year my Family and I visited Dorset. My parents decided to take me and my siblings to a UK holiday destination. I was shocked, I prefer going abroad to Europe or America! Well anyway here are some facts about Charmouth (the town I stayed at) and Dorset (the county)

Well, Dorset is a Southern English county along the coast of the English Channel. The coast is a major tourist attraction and provides much money for the United Kingdom. Fossils can be found along side an area know as the jurrasic coast.

Here is a map of Great Britain. I travelled from London to the are a marked as 'Dorset'. I travelled by train and it took just over an hour and a half to get there. We got there at about One o'clock on Saturday.

When we finally got there we went straight to the beach. To my suprise it wasn't like the Meditiranian beachs I've been to. :(

This is a quick MOC I made of the beach.

Here is some photos of SG.

SG sitting on a beach look bench.

After two days on the beach, I was fed up so I played on my PSP on the morning. Little did I know my doom was impending...

I to participate in a cliff walk with my family. We didn't go far but I felt like I was going to die. Luckily though, we didn't walk all the way to Golden Cap (the highest point in the South Coast).

SG in the grass.

I found a fossil, I managed to fit it into SG's hand!

On Tuesday, we went to Bridport a historical market town. I was so bored there. But luckily I found a place where I could bye the collectable minigigs. I got the small clown and Gladiator. (I'm planning to use both in my future MOCs).

When we got back, guess what? More beach!

On Wednesday we went to Lyme Regis. I'm not to keen on this town, the roads are narrow and the streets are busy. :( But we found a beach to go on. :)

To my horror the next day we walked to Golden cap! That's a three mile hike up a near vertical gradient! On teh way I found a massive crack. Every year the cliffs along Charmouth change due to eurosian and landslips. Alot of the cliff path has been cut of because of it.

Just an idea about how high up we were, and this wasn't even taken at Golden Cap!

This is some of the crumbling cliff. In the background you can see Golden Cap.

On Friday we went to the Fossil Museum on the beach in side was a large presitoric creature fossilised into stone. Unfortunatley I deleted that image. But I have this less impressive one :(

Some Fossils.

More Fossils.

The next day we left Charmouth at about 11 am and arrived back at London around 1 pm.

Sorry if this seemed rushed, but I didn't have much time to upload stuff. Next year I may be going to Turkey so that will be a better chance for a Holiday Report.

Expect to see MOC Olympic entries from me, hopefully I'll get passed round two this time!

My parents went into the shop. Yes the flag was on the beach view pub (I can't remember what it's called) I went from Waterloo to Axminster.

Quoting T.K . Those places look familiar! And as for Lyme Regis from the pictures you took, it looks quite quiete compared to some of the times Ive been there...The walk up Golden cap is steep, which is why we park on top of it inland a bit and walk to the edge, much flatter... :)
It looks quiet becuase I tried to take photos with bearley anyone in them. I did meet a group of photographers up on Golden Cap, they said they had parked there too.

That looked like an amazing trip! I would love to go on a holiday like that. Your sig fig is possibly the most epic one of all time by the way! My favorite photo was the back shot of SG looking out at the ocean. It makes you wonder what he was thinking about.
