I built this quite a while ago. It is based on the trams common in the large cities of Northern Europe, such as Amsterdam and Antwerpen. It did have a pantograph to collect electricty from the overhead power cables that never existed. I'll blame my son for its removal although he may well be innocent on this occaision. It can accomodate up to 13 mini figures including the driver. It did have quite a long section of dedicated narrow gauge track in 2005 but now it hardly has enough room to move. There was even a tram shed, of which I think there may be some photos somewhere, there is possibly some of the building around somewhere too.
If you look, you can see a red door is missing from the left carriage of the tram. I'd like to say it was caused by a speeding motorist, losing attention, and crashing into the side of the tram. It was, however, caused by not having enough little red doors.
This is great, I wish more people built trams like this. My only suggestion is to make a new one that is enclosed, as in it has windows. Other than that, great job and very creative!
