Story: One day Thanatos was coming back from a patrol during the toa, Dark Hunter war. A makuta spy followed him until he had him trapped. The makuta offered to let him live, if he betrayed the toa. Thanatos refused to betray his friends, and attacked the makuta who swiftly launched a blast of shadow intended to kill the toa. As the dark cloud cleared, Thanatos rose from the ground, quickly throwing his hooks to ensnare the makuta. Filled with shadow and anger, he killed the makuta. Later, after returning to his friends, he heard a deep nagging voice in his head, telling him that he was no longer wanted. Enraged, he fled the city leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. Now he is a renegade toa, only fighting to suit his own purposes.
